Serious relegation fears

A nice stat I read tonight;

We have had 90 attempts on goal in the last 4 games. By comparison Arsenal have managed 82 in 8 games. Throw in the decent defensive record and we really have the stats to do something with this season.

The results definitely went in our favour this weekend. Still don't think I've seen one game United have played this season when they truly deserved to pick up 3 points. The pressure will really be on them to turn it around now and the Glazers must surely be considering LVG's replacement right now. And to think I was hugely disappointed that we brought in Poch as I really wanted LVG.

I think most of us where. Insane to think!

There's no way that Spurs have, pound for pound a better first 11 than Everton. and yet just look at the difference in terms of tangible output. I'm afraid their manager is far superior to RM.

With our squad of players, we SHOULD be competing with Spurs. No question. But we're not.

On paper, most of our players could walk into the big club's first team and perform. We just aren't doing it. There has to be a reason and for me, its the way we play, not the players.

A big part of it is they have no plan B if Ozil is stopped. It is t going to help now having Sanchez back as him land Ozil haven't generally worked well together either

I stand by something I said about 6 weeks ago. Ours strength is that we do not rely on one or two players. When one drops off another has stepped up. Alli yesterday had an average game yet scored a worldie and hit the bar. Kane scored yet again and is bang on form at a critical time but when he hasn't scored others have.

I even believe of Vorm was required and he knew he had a few games he could even perform..

Leicester have been reliant on 3 players - Drinkwater, Vardy and marhrez and generally all thre have had to play very well for them To get result (like yesterday). Stop one and the others don't seem to work so well (although Mahrez has faded)

City it's all about aguero who is top top drawer and silva who is the chief creator but hasn't got going much this season. Their defence is the worst in the top 6 IMO and is a massive Achilles heel

Arse have an a erge defence that's well organised with a great keeper. Their missing their best centre mid and as shown today lack the muscle for the fight in their. Stop the supply line and they struggle for chances from others.

We have great stats across the board and their not from luck. Least shots conceded, most on target, most sweeps by a keeper, 2nd most distance. There are loads and we now have come back from losing positions the most (although dropped the most from winning too)...

We're no where near the finished article but the squad is tight and their playing as a unit with a buzz and excitement.

We probably won't win the league but we will be closer than any of us would have expected at the beginning of the season

That sounded like me at The Reebok a few years back. We had that run where we had never won a league match there. Then finally and ironically on our last visit there we were 4-1 up, but even at that score with 10 minutes I couldnt enjoy the moment until we were in stoppage time.
Same this season with this Chelsea situation, yes I know its 14pts with 15 to go, but I wont count my chickens unless it is 15 with 5 to go. It comes with the territory I suppose, but I must admit it this last week, and this weekend in particular, I am starting to get a little bit excited...is that wrong?
This... despite their brick start, the Chavs are currently only 2 points further behind us than the Goons were at the same stage of the 'Mind the Gap' season... Fingers crossed we'll still be within a couple of wins of top spot, rather than looking over our shoulder, when spring rolls in this time around!

Exciting, isn't it! Not that I think we will win it, but it's really possible now - not only because we're only a few points of first, but because we deserve to be where we are as well, based on how we've played all season. It's not just a fluke or good fortune that sees us where we are, it's well deserved.

This spring can be the most exciting for Spurs fans in years.
We actually deserve to be higher than where we are based on how we've played all season, which makes it even more encouraging that, if we keep playing like we have, anything is possible.

Just imagine, we would be top of the league now if we had beaten Leicester. Maybe we are more comfortable coming from behind instead of being in top at this stage of the season. Now we have to hope Leicester will lose points elsewhere. At the same time, we have to beat our other rivals Arsenal and ManCity and get positive results away at Liverpool and Chelsea. It is not going to be easy but hope we will step up our game and mentality.

Table of the last 19 games, apparently. Looking quite promising!

This one starts with the current position, then shows how many points we'd have if you cut away the first, second, third round etc. Not really sure how it should be interpreted, but our form has been pretty steady.

Was just looking at where we were at this stage in the last few years. In 12/13 (Bale's last season with us) we were 4 points clear or Arsenal with 24 games gone. So we all know how that can turn out if we start getting carried away. One game at a time. I prefer to be hunting them down in a way. They feel the pressure of being the favourites. I'm starting to think City will win it ultimately. But what a great chance we have.

Team at a warm weather training camp. Really smart move imo. Re-charge, get some sun, come back ready to go again in the league. The cup game first should be a rotated side, which is a bit of a complication, but great for players who need to get games.

Nice. I can work out all of them except the one in the middle: who is that??
