Scott Munn

Based on what. you didn't like his work in Australia, Asia or his work for the city group or you just dislike him because he is Munn which is a bit harsh but understandable as every one has someone they don't like.
Based on the fact that his work was in the footballing backwaters of Australia and China. As I said before - him coming into Spurs was equivalent to the BAnk of Dave CFO moving to become CFO at Goldman Sachs, it just wouldn't happen.

Unless Goldman Sachs went & got him because they were really impressed with his work. Of course in your world that's not a possibility

Let's be honest it's not if he can do the job it's because he is from Asia/ Australia.

I think the point is he’s not proven himself at a decent standard of football. So it’s a BIG step up to go from Australia to a top 6 ish calibre PL side.

Based on what. does anybody have a clue what he has done in Asia/Australia. Does anybody know what was expected of him at Tottenham. No is the answer so don't judge until you have all the facts.

Are we really going to believe first the city group then Daniel did no research on Munn & simply said he will do.

Based on the fact that he hasn’t had a similar type of role in a more high profile league before.

So if I was the best in my field say football in Asia & are extremely well thought of for the work I have been doing by clubs around the globe you wouldn't employ me because I work in Asia.

You can't judge him if you don't no what he has done. Just like I couldn't judge you on your work unless I had a clue what you do

Just maybe Daniel liked his work & thought he would be good for us

You realise people get headhunted around the globe all the time.

But Asian and Australian football isn’t anywhere near the standard of European football. I want someone who is the most qualified and has a track record at the best standard of football. We know Munn hasn’t had a job at this level before and to pretend it isn’t a big step is not helpful. Like Ange, he’s shown to be largely out of his depth so far at this level.

Isn't the simple fact is that a better qualified person in Vinai became available after he had had a rest from football, once it was announced Vinai was coming pretty obvious Scott's days were numbered.
Thought I saw Munn on the pitch after the final full of smiles so maybe the parting is amiable on full pay and you can't have too many eggs in one basket.

He's not a player. He's a businessman.

He worked for city group in Asia please tell me what his job entailed. you can't so how do you no if he is qualified to work for Tottenham

I would trust Daniel's opinion over anyone on here. No disrespect to you

This is a circular argument so I’ll leave it there.

One of the primary concerns about Levy is his decision making when it comes to football. The business side he’s got covered.

Agreed but Munn is the business side as far as I am aware Lange & our consultant a certain Italian is the football guys. That's changed now vinai has arrived I think could be wrong

Anyway if rumours are true he is gone anyway

Out of curiosity, why is he out of his depth when he picked the manager that won us our first trophy in 17 years?

If I remember rightly, in the numerous top 4 vs a trophy debate, you were consistently on the side of not caring where we finished in the league as long as we won a trophy

It does depend on whose story you want to believe as to how involved Levy is in choosing players, Lange says Levy doesn't give an opinion on players, we all know he does the financial negotiating and sets the budget but so do the chairman of many clubs. Extract from the article and look Munn did get involved.

“When I speak with Daniel and Scott Munn [chief football officer], it’s more about strategy and developing the club overall. Daniel’s network can play a part of some transactions, case by case, but he will never go in and have an opinion about whether a certain player is a good fit or not.”

The league form has been a car crash since December 2023 onwards.

I’d rather win a trophy than finish 4th and win nothing but I never thought we would flirt with relegation. A trophy and poor league form in my head always looked like mid table, say 7th-12th (similar to when we won the league cup under Ramos), not the brick show we turned into last season.

FFS we didn't flirt with relegation.

Still waiting for some examples on Scott Munn being out of depth too.
