Scott Munn

He was lucky to still have the title. Do you genuinely believe he was part of what drove that win? I look forward to a day when the full story of last season actually sees the light of day...if it ever does.

I too would like to read that. Until then, I don't know that anyone can answer whether or not he was a part of the success in the Europa League. if he was Ange's key supporter at the executive level, then perhaps he had a big part? I think everyone (including me) was expecting Ange to be sacked in January. With that change, it's likely we'd have prioritised the league and (based on the past) probably not won the Europa League.

Nobody externally really knows anything about Munn but 90% have found him guilty of something. The minority that either do or at least think they do should lay down some facts for the rest of us.

EVERYONE at the club was part of that win. Even people that had come and gone at the club in the preceding years were part of that win.

I've seen many a great leader just become a victim of politics, lose their job and go and be incredibly successful in a different environment. It's why I give Scott the benefit of the doubt whereas others seem to want to hang him out to dry.

It all depends on how you define 'part of the success'...what I know (which despite invitation I am not prepared to share) suggests that one's definition of such a thing would be vital in determining one's answer.

I think it's ironic that now there is a view that 'everyone' at the club was part of that win, whe the truth is, no-on actually thought he would do it - and that includes most fans.
In the holistic sense, of course a great many people can claim a piece of that win in terms of work done to get the club to the footing it is on (a good friend of mine who worked there for many years celebrated in Bilbao with the team/staff precisely on that premise). But the literal work? It was a small group of people who threw their lots in with each other. I will say that if you think of the people who decided not to sack him in January as being part of the group who led to this success (by proxy) then yesm, the group grows wider than Ange, coaches, playing staff/meds, and squad.

thought it was weird when we had munn, postcoglu and jedinak running the main football stuff and with severely lacking experience competing in europe.

don't know the guy, but wish him well, but I am REALLY glad to have people with proven experience in the right positions from top to bottom now.

Yes I agree for the most part. I don’t see the need to draw lines for who and who wasn’t part of the win. I certainly felt part of it, and I’m sure Munn did.

I think the only really the question is posed of him is because he’s seen in the same way as Ange: a clueless Australian who fluked their way to a Premier League job.
