Randal Kolo Muani

I've purposely not over gassed his arrival because I didn't want to set expectations to high, but he's genuinely super talented. I've kind of despaired at times when I've seen chat he should play on the left or some other random position.

In a way he's a combination of Richarlison and Solanke attributes but I think he's better than both at most of them. It's been really frustrating for me with his injury status up to now because I was so excited when we signed him, just because he's truly a player I rated before hand and we rarely ever bring in players I've rated previously. Even last January I was really bummed we didn't get him so to get him in the summer was a happy moment but then the dead leg hit.

I don't expect him to be all things to all people but in terms of attributes he's by far the most suited forward on our books for this season. Quick, strong, good fudging technique for once, has a football brain, very good link up etc. the weakest part of his game is probably his finishing but even in that regard he's not poor by any means, just not a cold blooded bagaman. I'm hoping now he has his goals, that will help win over the fan base and he can really get going.

As I said I've tried not to get be over the top with him, but when we got him on loan, my expectation has always been that I really expect that we will want to sign him at the end of it due to his quality.

I think you're right. When you look at the bigger picture, there really is a dearth of strikers around Europe right now. That is why getting Solanke was the right move for the club at the time. You don't see the amount of goals from Johnson, Son and Madds last season without the toil of Solanke at 9. In reality, BM would have been better off with a Solanke or Muani last night rather than Kane who was reminded what it was like to be back in the PL last night. He didn't get a shot away and just wasn't up for the physical battle and intensity that you get from a top side like Arsenal. Of course, when he doesn't find the net and only has 30 touches in 95 mins, it's a tough place to be.

However, if you had paired Kane and Muani last night then we would have been in much better shape. PSG were a side that do leave space and Kane's class on the ball and finishing prowess could have made a difference. Muani's constant movement and intelligence buzzing around that front line would have enabled Kane.

I look forward to seeing way more of Muani, especially with the returning Solanke. At 26, Muani now needs multi-year period in his career where he's really establishing himself. I think you're right that this Spurs under this manager could be good timing for him.

Modern strikers have limited games because they are asked to play in limited ways
Kane is the exception
What I like about RKM is he always tries to take the ball to face the goal
That’s what he did well in Germany and Italy
Didn’t get that chance in France as we know
I do think he could work well with another striker and we saw that last night too

I’d love his loan to become permanent as I genuinely think he’d be great for us. I just don’t know if he sees it the same way
If he gets some love and gets games I think he'd be willing to make this his home. He reportedly really wanted to stay at Juve after his successful loan spell but they couldn't make the finances work. Juve have now moved on with David so presumably, Muani will have to as well.
