Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

This is very disappointing, it was brick beforehand, it took years to get my daughter the correct help in school with her autism.

Having worked in the independent schools sector, I can see some of the sense in this.

Many of the EHCPs we dealt with were for the children of parents who were very wealthy and could easily afford independent school fees. Instead, they hired specialist education lawyers who - for the cost of less than one year’s fees - would construct a case which saw their child get five years of independent schooling, boarding fees, and additional specialist 1:1 teaching each week.

It’s a scandal that’s been ready to blow for years and I’m only surprised that it hasn’t been picked up by a journalist at some point.

All that being said, I’m sure these parents won’t be the ones hit when the cuts come, as they will hire the specialist educational lawyers to fight their corner, and on it goes…

Saw a thing about Stephen Fry other day and he said Brexit was a disaster, and then Laura Kuessenburg was like "not everyone would agree with that".

Er, sorry, you can support Brexit, be it's biggest fan, but you cannot just disagree with facts that it has been in every area, a disaster, with no benefits.

You can still be happy about it happening for whatever reason, but there's been absolutely no benefit to it. Why can't people face the facts?

P.S. So much fun going to Greece a couple of weeks back and paying for data again, and can't access Sky Sports post-Brexit abroad.

I just use my VPN and a Lebara SIM in my phone or tablet (if your phone has space for dual SIM it's no bother at all)

Ps. People need to be careful with their providers terms. You can often use your tariff abroad but they may limit the amount of data you can use out of your usual bundle. And then charge you for using more...often at a silly rate.

You have your analogy reversed.

It's Salah's Godtard leaders who were a part of the group that wanted to wipe Israel from the face of the Earth. Israelis/Jews, the distinction doesn't matter when the prejudice is caused by religious intolerance.

Well it shouldn't exist at the expense of the Palestinian people who are getting done over ever since the west decided to give priority to occupy Palestinian homes.

The powers that be could have carved out a home for Jewish people in Europe somewhere, probably even Germany.

Also the word "intolerance" coming from you is a little rich.

It was land that was virtually uninhabited, that nobody wanted until they found out the people their sky fairy wanted to eradicate wanted it.

Intolerance of religion is fine - it should be the norm. Intolerance because of one's religion is just departed.

whoa whoa, the prejudice is not caused by religious intolerance at all. Historically Muslims have treated Jewish people much much better than the west has. The ottomans famously completely opened their boarders to Jews from Spain during the inquisition when they were being tortured and slaughtered. But not just then, during the in the various pogoms throughout the west and Russia the ottomans consistently offered refuge to Jews, and during holocaust the Turkish state was faking Turkish linage to try to rescue as many Jewish people from the nazis as was possible.

that’s just bûlbrick, and not even sophisticated bûlbrick, ‘the holy land’ was somewhere no one wanted??? Behave yourself.

it belonged to the ottomans and was very much inhabited. people of all faiths mostly got along, then…the British invaded.

I’m not particularly pro Palestinian but let’s not make shît up.

Great. If you could just convince Egypt, Iran and those in the place they call Palestine, everything would be spiffing.

It was less densely populated than the empty bits of Norfolk. That wouldn't have been the case if people wanted it.

Brilliant you want Palestinian people to be OK with their homes taken and forced out on the daily?
Well, there aren't Palestinian people. There are people in a place they refer to as Palestine.

But yeah, if they vote in terrorists, they lose their right of complaint.

The real lesson we should be learning is don't let the western powers that be solve your problems, it never works.

And why are they terrorists? Because someone has taken something that belongs to them, be it property, family or livelihoods ... anyway you clearly don't have a clue.
