Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Why would I have to say that spraying graffiti on someone's shop or shouting racist abuse is wrong as a caveat to a point i'm making? These are just a given.

Because you times that view by millions of people with the same "I shouldn't have to say it" and innocent people continue to be targeted by racists in this era of intended conflation.

Well done for turning a blind eye

Cabinet reshuffle that seems to pull the rug from under Reeves just before the autumn budget...i'm guessing the answer to the Q. Will they break Reeve's fiscal rules or their pledge not to raise primary taxes....may possibly be hinting at an answer...watch the markets!!

Go on, just one example

Lucy Conolly.....More than once. Didn't call out what she said, then leapt to her defence with the whole "misunderstood act" despite her saying literally "if that makes me racist so be it"

Countless other examples, I seem to remember vigorous defence of Trump despite everyone with a braincell knowing what he is, and I'm not talking defence of his politics.

I'm not here to tell you what to say or think, thats on you, but I can't remember a time you have called out right wing actions, including extreme actions whilst leaping to many a defence or trying to justify action. That says more about someone than just their wish to test robustness of views.

That coupled with your long confession of how you feel about immigrants paints a pretty clear picture TBH mate

I didn't defend Lucy Conolly. In fact, I pointed out explicitly the tweet that got her convicted, which wasn't the tweets you lot were whinging about in this thread, it was a tweet calling for people to set fire to mosques.

What i was saying was humans are more complex than the anger driven reactionism on display in this thread. Lucy Conolly has a platform and is garnering support from people. If you label someone a scumbag extremist and basically want to wash your hands of them because they did a tweet, rather than engage with the person and the emotions behind it, you are part of the problem. Nobody wants to engage, they want to vilify, pile on and shout. And what you do then is drive people into the arms of the far right, or of the far left, of terrorist groups, of anger and isolation.

Trump is Trump. You can like him or loathe him. You can loathe him while also considering whether he is right on Ukraine/Russia and on other policies. I think he's an intelligent man who has been very successful in his life and is actually right on a lot of things.

I'm open about my emotions and I engage with them. Because I acknowledge my own unconscious biases doesn't make me an extremist, nor has anything I have said on here been a defence of extremism.

You have literally just done, what you said you don't do in all that nonsense, no more so in the "Trump is Trump" and subsequent summary. Thank you for again proving my point about not being able to say anything negative about the extreme right wing whilst making up a load of b0llox to defend that stance.

No one said it was, people elaborated on why they felt she was a scum bag aka, subsequent tweets, no remorse and the right wing grift tour

Then out the silhouette of the right wing gas works appeared Silly McSIlly Face and his excuse book 101 why people are racist and why its to be expected/forgiven.

You can war and peace it as much as you like, but thats the simplified version of what happened and can't be hidden in word soups

At the end of the day, lets be honest, the reason I can't call any of it out is because it all aligns with your own prejudice
