Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

So people who fast are uncivilised now.

Wow.

Anyway you said you made them take leave. And now you say choice. What I was calling you out on. And it's clear you shifted your story when challenged.

Pretty clear to see you will lie on a forum for clout. Which was my main point. And it's been made and proven.
Fasting is really good for you. Scientifically, it is proven to force the body to cleanse itself by burning excess sugar and fat in the blood stream and brain stimulation and growth occurs. It is though this to be a natural response to increase the chances of finding food (i.e. from back in caveman days). Fasting boosts life expectancy. It also isnt something that is unique to Islam. People in this country that identify as Christian have largely abandoned strict adherence to Christian tradition. As i was brought up in a traditional Catholic family, Catholics are supposed to fast during lent, particularly on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays during lent. And Catholics are also expected to abstain from eating meat on all Fridays (which is where "Friday fish and chips" comes from). Advent was traditionally a similar period of penitence in the run up to Christmas. To be clear, I'm not religious but fasting and abstinence is generally a feature of all major religions in some form. If you can be ar** to follow them strictly.

Yeah, intermittent fasting is definitely part of lots of ketogenic diets. Isn't it something like 15 hours of no food before your body goes into ketosis and starts burning fat? Isn't looking after your mitochondria something to do with optimum health as well?

I've fasted for 19 hours a day with no food or water with ease. I've maintained a high perofmring job. A family. And fitness. But there is nothing wrong with hating fasting as an act of worship. That's your choice. But mistreating employees is disgusting.

I think it's very healthy. 1 meal a day feels much more natural than 3 once you try it. Breakfast and lunch are just pretty pointless. 1 meal a day is what keeps the Rolling Stones spritely after all.

Different to Ramadan type fasting, I would really struggle with no coffee/drinks through the day though.

The Omagh bomb, 6 months after the GFA, also shocked everyone enough into retreat

The IRA were absolutely riddled with informers by that stage too - had been since the mid-80s. Adams and McGuinness had realised they had no chance of achieving what they wanted.
