Player Contracts

Seems like Kranjcars contract expires in 2015 - and not next year as first thought

Niko Kranjcar says his future is in the hands of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

The Croatia midfielder has missed the season run-in due to injury.

Kranjcar told Jutarnji List: "The Tottenham contract binds me for another three years, I too was happy with the new agreement.

"I signed on for five years when we went into the Champions League. I like London. Will they sell me? Who knows, the club's board decides."

That's an absolutely crazy chart.

Though i am surprised it shows Chelsea as far lower then i would have anticipated. I did not think their relatively small stadium would cover their wages that well.

Though i would personally feel that anything over 60-65% was probably unsustainable long term, without outside influences.

Since I was unable to edit the blog here I've moved it to http://spursplayers.blogspot.com/

• Updated Bale and Caulker extensions.
• Nathan Byrne, Jake Nicholson, Alex Pritchard and Jonathan Obika have had their contracts extended.
• Gomes has had his 2 year option activated by the club.
• Jordan Archer and Ryan Frederick's contracts must have been expiring this season and have had new offers, they both have started pre-season training according to their twitter so maybe they've signed new ones.
• Same for Cameron Lancaster but not sure if he has a real twitter account as no mention of pre-season or tweets with fellow Spurs on http://twitter.com/#!/cameronpl
• I suspect Cudicini signed a new contract extension during last season but it was not reported anywhere.
• We are still waiting for news on Ledley and Adebayor.

Lennon only has 2 years left, isn't it club policy to renew or sell pretty much if only 2 years are left?

I suspect Lennon is next in line for a contract.

Defoe and VDV expire in 2014 as well but much older players.

From what I wrote down when we signed Rafael, his contract was to the summer of 2013.
I know it's been claimed he's contracted untill 2014, even by Rafa himself (unsure on quotes, but atleast said he had more than one year left.)
Could be his contract expire summer 2013, but that we have the 2 years option on it which is usual at Spurs these days.

Kyle Naughton is also supposedly in the last year of his contract, but I take it for granted that we have an option for further 2 years.

Rafa said when he signed back in the summer of 2010: "Four years at Spurs, for 11 million euros, I can hardly believe it myself."

Not sure if the 11 million euros is his wages or transfer fee. Would put his wages at 53000 euros a week. About 45k sterling at the time I think.

Now Frank could be wrong, although why say 2015? or Rafa got a contract extension with a likely wage increase at some point.

Adebayor contract is 4 years according to Sky Sports and 3 years according to The Telegraph.

Sigurdsson and Dembele contracts both upto 2017.

Dempsey signs until 2015 according to Sky Sports and Lloris to 2016 according to BBC.

Defoe signs up to 2015 and Lennon to 2016.

All our key players are now contracted upto at least 2015.

http://spursplayers.blogspot.com/ for details.

Some updates since my last post.

Brad Friedel - 2014 (previous was upto 2013)

Jordan Archer - 2015 (having only signed one upto 2013 in July 2012)

Jonathan Obika - 2014 (previously unknown - likely until 2013)

Harry Kane - 2017 (previously unknown)

Alex Pritchard - 2015 (previously unknown but widely reported to have been 2013)
