***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool

That's pretty close to what most people were selecting on here, one or two players different for some but not much in it. Maybe we are getting closer to knowing what our best team is.

I'd be surprised if it was anything different.
Of course that's 3 that started on thursday!

Those 3 are:

Rose - who clearly needed game time after being out for months, playing only 45 minutes.
Dembele - who played only about an hour and who didn't play against Fulham.
Soldado - who has sat out our last 2 league games and thus is unlikely to suffer from fatigue based on a Thursday game followed by a Sunday game and who needed goals to raise his confidence and got them against Anzhi.

I really cannot understand how you can have an issue with Rose and Soldado playing against Anzhi and then against Liverpool today. I suppose a point could be made about Dembele, but with him not playing the full game against Anzhi, not having played against Fulham I still struggle to see how taking part in the relatively low intensity game against Anzhi is a problem.

I wish Neville commentated on our game, I like his insight and he hates Liverpool.

Instead they give him a Man Utd game to commentate on whilst we will get Tyler and Smith.

We remember things differently then. I remember Park being used frequently in big league games, including home games where United were marginal/small-ish favourites. I could be wrong of course though. I just offered it as an example where one of the most respected and successful managers around did what to some of you seem unacceptable or overly cautious.

I could understand the "just blow them away" attitude if we were at home to a poor lower half team, but we're not. Liverpool, even with a couple of injuries, are a good (arguably very good) side where a balance between stopping them playing and attacking them should be found.

I'm also very optimistic about the central midfield, looking at the players it could end up as a boys against men situation, I won't take anything for granted, but hopefully we'll all be very happy about Sandro and Dembele after the game :)

yep lets hope our cm's do the business........lets hope for a rip roaring win!!!

Looked like he passed it. He was getting a piggy bank from one of the medical team down the stairs:lol:

New way for Levy to pay out wages ;)

Nah, great news if he's fit! Can't ****ing wait for this game, had loads of stuff to do today, but can't get myself to do any of it. Just waiting for kickoff like a kid waiting to open presents from Santa.

Lloris, Walker, Rose, Dawson, Chiriches, Dembele, Sandro, Lennon, Chadli, Paulinho, Soldado... Thats the word on the team for today...

Think that's AVB's default line-up at the moment. Glad that Chiriches is in there to deal with Saurez - he has the mobility to cope with him. Good to see Paulinho in his best position, assuming that line-up is right

a shame that despite Dawson making an error a game recently we havent just showed balls and gone with Capoue at centre half.

Journo Rob Harris saying Capello will be at the game today.
Hmmm guess he's trying to make a tenuous link

Fabio Capello has just been in the Spurs press lounge. Had the beef roast, didn't have the green beans.

I completely agree, but I don't think we can legitimately criticise the selection of our captain over a a player who's not a specialist in the position and is facing the former striker in the league, alongside a new signing who's fitness is in doubt. As you said though, a shame - I just hope Dawson has a blinder!
