*OMT* Tottenham Hotspur vs Leceister

We’re obviously at opposite ends of the scale for the transport options. I do think it highlights how limited the options for WHL are though, Wembley is on 4 different rail routes (fair point, none of them service you), whereas WHL is only really on one.

I’ve also enjoyed the much wider range of food available in the stadium, hopefully we have similar from next season too.

WHL has two national rail lines and a tube line all servicing the stadium - the food has largely been brick standard stadium fare (unless you're in Club Wembley?) and NWHL should blow it out of the water there going by what has been released so far, i will miss the mulled wine/pimms stand though tbf

Edit : had this last game of the season been at WHL id already have been on my way up there, if not already well on the smash - the fact im still at home glued to the sofa says it all - roll on next season

Must admit I had a burger at Spurs the other night and it wasn’t that bad, slightly enjoyable. But I’m with Marky on this it has been such a ball ache but that’s because we are Essex way. A Saturday 3pm game you need to really leave at around 11am via train and you’re back well after 7 possibly even closer to 8 for me. Definitely 8 hours day for me which is pretty much the whole day wiped out. Evening games you are lucky to get in before midnight.

Once back at WHL it’s going to be back to an hour there jobby hour back, but could be slightly longer now due to the extra 20,000 or so fans going causing more traffic but it’s going to be 100x more enjoyable.

Plus it’s going to help us all when we go to Wembley for a semi or final as the novelty for me wore off this year (not that I could make the semi anyway but you get my point).

Viagra?

Parking at Swiss Cottage Wembley was quite quick to get to. But the stadium experience for all but the massive games wasn't great. The intimacy, the atmosphere was lacking. I can get a bus or walk to the lane. NWHL will be a completely different experience to being at Wembley. Hopefully it will have some of the intimacy and intensity of the old place, but with nice facilities. The pictures of the new ground from the pitch suggest it could be a cauldron, plus that 17k stand... It should be another level completely.

So, this will be our last home match at Wembley and our last match of the season. Have a mixed feeling about leaving Wembley. We have done well in the league at Wembley this season but have also lost all the crucial Cup matches against West Ham(League Cup), Juventus(CL) and ManU(FA Cup). Let's hope we will do much better at our new stadium next season. We need to end this season on a winning note by beating Leicester. But we have a very poor record against Leicester at home, only winning 1 of our last 6 home matches in all competitions against them. That only win came when we beat them 4-3 in 2015 but that inspired them so much that they went on to win the league title the following season. We have failed to beat them in 3 matches since then, drawing 2 and losing 1 matches at home. Let's hope we will improve that record by beating Leicester in this match.

Kane has not been in good form since returning from injury but still has scored 4 goals in his last 7 matches for us. Unfortunately for Kane, he needs to score 4 goals in this match to overtake Salah in the top scorers race. That looks very difficult looking at his current form. But he does have a great record against Leicester, having scored 9 goals against them in the past. Remember he also scored 4 goals away at Leicester last season. Let's hope Kane will be on fire to score at least 3 goals to equal Salah's record. Frankly, I will be disappointed if he doesn't score at least 2 goals to reach 30 league goals for the season. Others like Eriksen and AlliI need to contribute more by getting goals or assists in this match. It seems like Son is saving his energy for the World Cup as he has been poor and not scored in his last 9 matches for us. So, Son should be dropped for this match. After all, Lamela deserves to start this match as he played well against Saudi Sportswashing Machine after coming on.

Our midfield seem to be suffering from injury and loss of form in recent matches. Reports say Sissoko is our only fit midfielders for this match. Not sure if the others like Dembele, Dier and Wanyama will be fit for this match. Whoever play in midfield, let's hope they will give their best against Leicester. Leicester do have a decent midfield who can trouble us if given chance. We need to control the midfield to have any chance of winning this match.

Our defence have been in mixed form in recent matches. We will definitely need Alderweireld to improve our defending. We were very fortunate to stop Saudi Sportswashing Machine scoring last time. For some reason, Vertonghen made too many mistakes in that match. Let's hope Alderweireld will come back back and help Vertonghen and Sanches to stop Leicester. Since this will be our last home match at Wembley, it will be disappointing if we don't keep the clean sheet in this match.

It is disappointing that we failed to give a good fight to Emirates Marketing Project in the title race this season. Thought we would at least finish in 2nd place like last season but we failed in that too. Now, we should at least finish in 3rd place by beating Leicester in this match. Let's hope we will turn up with the right team and mentality to beat Leicester and finish in 3rd place in the league.

Everybody dance now!

Wish we can have all our players fully fit for this match. We need to make sure we win our last home match at Wembley. As usual, we need an early goal to help our nerves settle down and then go for more goals to kill the game off. Let's hope we will put up a good performance and get a convincing win over Leicester to end this season on a winning form.

Yup, most of my row of Wembley Pass holders are from Bucks and it’s probably the only time any of us will be able to make 20 games (give or take) in a season, as it’s a nice leisurely 50 minutes journey rather than the typical 2+ hours schlep to N17; although props to Paxton for commuting from the other end of the country!

Club Wembley has also been a nice upgrade on the spit and sawdust feel of the olde Lane but I’m very much looking forward to the even better facilities of the new WHL and (despite it being a pain for me to get to) will be nice to walk up the High Road to watch home games again.

Farewell appearances for Alder, Rose and Lamela?!?

Exactly what went through my head initially when I saw that lineup certainly with Toby and Danny, but Poch doesn't strike me as the sentimental type, if it were known they were to never play again for the club the best they'd get is the bench and a 10 minute cameo.

fudging Sissoko...

I'm beginning to fear we won't sell him in the summer.

Just gotta hope the midfielders stay fit next season.

We can't keep picking a £4m player and expect to do things
