+++OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool+++

I agree with that but it's also not the whole story. Today he played a low block and had us organized defensively. That was much different to previous games. Remember he had a week between the Arsenal and Fulham games so had time to organise the team. He had less time to prepare for today but had us far more organised.

I said previously I wasn't worried about the results against Arse and Fulham, but more how we were set up. We needed to be organized because IMHO, if we were, it would be enough for us to survive.

I didn't see a low block more than a very well organized, tight-between-the-lines 4-4-2 where we actually were more aggressive going forwards and won way more second balls.

He has found path out right now, and with the couple we'll get back for Forest, I think we should be expecting to win that game now. With others coming back during the international break, this feels very good all of a sudden.
I maintain that this is a mini-season and each game 'now' is all we should think about, drawing off vibes when we make them.

I agree mate, and was with you with previous concerns. But no matter what we think about tactical setups he needs time to learn about his players and what will and won't work. The fact he went against his favoured formation was a good sign IMO....

VDV - this is going to sound bonkers. But that lad is fast and knows how to finish. if we was deserate id play him up front or out wide. Pace can do a lot. And he is strong also. Dutch guys can play all over.

I didn't see a low block
I think we started with that, understandably. But then when we went behind we became more open. But agree there was much more organisation to our play today and Richy should have had a penalty for a clear holding back offence by VVD, when he was through on goal. Should have been a red for VVD too for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity. I think referees don’t give those when the player gets their shot away (wrongly imho as you are effectively penalising the striker for trying to stay on their feet).

How bizarre was that interview?

“Can you provide hope?”

What? He’s not Batman for Christ sake, let the man enjoy his performance and point.

Convinced the Van Djyk pull on Richy is a penalty.
I don't get the rules. Honestly. It's like, if we do it that's a pen, as per Van Der Ven last week, then the same happens and its not even a foul. It's absurd and in full view of the world.

I had a feeling we would come away with something this afternoon, I didn't watch the game but from the stats and the highlights we were in it. If richi could play them every week he'd get 30 goals a season!

GHod, that interview’s warmed my heart!

Let’s get the points to stay up, develop these young men, and start to put the gonads of the last few seasons (EL win notwithstanding) behind us.

So we've got two points from seven games. And those two points have been against Emirates Marketing Project and away at Anfield.

Make it make sense.
