No it would not. When the GK has his arms up to catch the ball, it can't be shoulder to shoulder. It's also reffed like that to protect the GK. Players can use their arms to protect themselves, the GK can't.
It's the correct decision.

yes, but the keeper wasn't at the flight of the ball, he jumped late, and into Sanchez rather than the other way around, cheap way for a keeper to get a FK
I do think if Lloris tries it we'll get fudged over though

Sure îs. But he played himself into form last year, when he had a bit of a slump and ended that season top goalscorer. I agree with him being benched today for fitness concerns, but other than today he should start for me.

It was exactly the opposite. Sanchez was jumping towards the goal. It was tinkle poor goalkeeping, but still a FK.
Why only today? He's been brick all season.
