*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Everton FC ***

OK I've been studying every play and watching intently and I simply cannot get over Hojbjerg's awful centre parting. What was he thinking? Did he see Bergvall's hair and get jealous?
Simply unacceptable, he must be benched for that.

He might get benched for other reasons.

Struggling with ball progression through and from the middle third when they press well. Imo miss Kulusevski who is really good in those situations. Maddison and Bentancur some way off their best too doesn't help.

Fantastic goal by Richarlison. Lovely stuff to find a strike like that from that situation. Composure, technique, all round beautiful stuff.

Need to improve in the second and deal with their corners better.

Time for Ange to earn his money. We need another way out from our normal patterns. Better balls to the wide men to pin back their wingers..

Will he change his defensive corner tactics or is he too stubborn?

Now the ref will allow any nudge on the GK at the corners because he has allowed the first one and has to stay consistent în his foolishness.

Do people know that it's still a contact sport?

Should we expect teams to leave Vic alone out of kindness or good manners?

Not sure if Mason is on defensive set pieces as well as attacking ones but it's us who has to do something about it.

Flopping around being weak and then gesturing hopefully at the ref isn't a sensible course of action. I don't think we can score enough to factor in almost giving away a goal every time we concede a corner, especially if we're not winning the first header once it's taken.

Another game where Bentancur is giving the ball away more than PEH, I'm obviously glad he's back from injury but still seems super rusty.

As for Richy, I'm going to come across super insufferable if I say my piece on him. It's funny to see the selective amnesia for certain posters who loved laying in to him but he's always had the mentality to turn it around.

Everton fans booing the ref off lol
They're always like this. Angry bunch. Can understand it really.

Think we've done better today at keeping our cool. But still missing a bit with our overall play. Tough place to go mind and Everton are playing quite well.

It is a contact sport, but the contact has to be with intent to play the ball, else it's just obstruction.

You were right all along about RIchi.

Fudge em, got too big for their boots, should have appreciated what Kenwright had done for them.

The thing is, that the only legal way to move or shove another player away, is shoulder to shoulder. When the GK raise his arms to collect the ball, you can't go shoulder to shoulder. They're shoving him away with their back/ass and arms. That's a foul every single day.

Bailed out of a poor half by two brilliant Richy goals. We really just cannot control a game at the moment. A concerning trend.

Interesting analysis from Tim Howard about how he would punch with one fist and use the free arm for leverage against the attacker.

The host seems set on the “Vic weak at crosses” narrative which really isn’t the case.
