***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project, Sunday Feb 1 KO - 4.30pm***

I stick with this. Good second half but that first half performance was unacceptable. We shouldn’t be waiting until second half to turn up. And that has to come down to the manager.

I didn't think we were awful first half, I just thought system was wrong. We have enough injuries that sometimes a manager thinks they got to adapt, even maybe they didn't.

Second half back to midfield three and 4 at the back - difference was clear to see. I also think Palinha with Gray and Sarr looked so much better. One to run, one to play the ball around, and let Palinha focus on winning the ball back

Magnificent comeback, great to see so much fight and determination after a very lacklustre first half. It feels as if we are on the brink of turning things around, but just need that little extra confidence. This draw should do wonders for our morale - now lets just get 8-9 of our abscentees back, and start gaining some momentum.

Wrong formation/players in first half (RKM is not up for it)

Xavi looks the player we hoped
Palhinha has to be made permanent, guy is quietly racking up very good performances
Gallagher's best game so far
Odobert again showing promise
Solanke showing what a decent CF can get us

Pep can't even beat a Frank version of Spurs 🤣

Really good second half after a for me poor first half.

Keep reading that our players just aren't good enough, but to me it seems that almost every time we take the handbrake off we look alright.

Can't be too harsh on Frank after that second half and with the number of players missing up against City, not surprising that we end up being second best.

Just hope there aren't any new significant injuries.

Agreed that Xavi and Solanke were really good, but think Palhinha deserves a shout out. Really impressive performance.

Simple explanation (regardless of the players)…

First half: only two CMs with no real attacking emphasis from the two WBs meant City could play through us at will when we couldn’t pin them back.

Second half: Matched up man-to-man in a midfield three and out hustled them. Took much of the pressure of the defense and could’ve won if not for them having the best GK in the world.

Xavi, Solanke, Palhinha all magnificent today.

We looked good in the 1st Half until they scored. Then just fell apart for 30 minutes. 2nd Half probably the best we had played since the PSG opening 70 minutes.

Thankfully sounds like Solanke’s not re-injured himself, judging by his post-match interview.

side note: first half would have been better if we had played one of our other wide players instead of RKM
