*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace FC ***

I have a question

Can someone using reason and context explain our tactics.

Why are we set up the way we are regardless of personnel, leading to 20 defeats, and explain why it continues when he has when forced to adapted it to success.
We have success in Europe playing a more pragmatic way and playing more orthodox FBs. It really baffles me why the same isn't done in the league, especially with so many changes.

I am thankful for his corner leading to the goal in midweek but Tel is distinctively average. If we activate the transfer in the summer then we only have ourselves to blame for how things are
Not a player thats going to improve us. Same as Oderbert aka Clinton Njies clone. We waste so much on average players, have done for years.

It seems the only joy you find is in believing you're right about how bad we are/the season's gone/how awful some of the fanbase, players and manager are.
It's far more preferable to be Mr Positive or Mr Context than to be you.
It's a sorry state of affairs that there's an awful lot of 'fans' like you who are joyfully squirming out of the wordwork to parade their negatvity, misery and pain loudly.
Hell, if we manage to win the Europa, I'm really interested to see how quickly so many of you take a dump on the achievement
Hmm I just live in reality. I don't watch through the prism of emotion or the hope that things are better than what I can actually see with my eyes. As I said earlier if some fans want to be Mr Positive then cool you won't even see me criticise them I just don't understand why those same fans have issue with the other group who are able to accept the reality of what we can see with our own eyes.

if we play well I'll say it and if we play brick guess what I'll say that too. I feel no shame in admitting the truth. It's no knock on my pride that I have to be honest and admit we are awful this season. Again though if you want to be Mr Positive feel free, you do you.

If the performances haven't changed then how would the discussions around them?

You complained that people are not able to discuss the game. Well discuss it. Palace made two changes, we made 8 and played 75% of the match without a stitch of creativity in midfield. Our back 5 had one player from Thursday. Our front three lacked a CF.
Sorry, it was always going to be ropey. Fact. Is is right? No. It's poor. Is it a fact that everyone at the club only cares about one match at this point? Yes.

@Bishop ...is anything I've said above 'happy clapping'? No. It's seeing the wood for the trees.

It's been two seasons and the majority of our performances have been like today. It's not that he doesn't know how, he just doesn't want to do things any different and that's even worse for me. Then you add the cup games where we actually look semi competent (bearing in mind it's a lower level of opposition) and you start to wonder what's wrong with him.

our tactics is based on success from the scottish league and hasn't been updated by the person responsible possibly because: (1) he is too stubborn to think that anything else is better; (2) he is delusional and cannot accept the reality that there are better tactics than his; and (3) he feels that the players are to blame and with the right ones he will succeed. So this season to him is a one-off, he doesn't take responsibility for the injuries nor the performance and results. After all he has always won a trophy in his second year and he thinks there is a chance he will do it again and make himself a legend at the club.

btw has a coach been sacked immediately after winning a trophy?
