Sorry to be pessimistic Steff but we could have 20 attempts to their two or three and still lose 2-1.
We can't defend and we can't absorb any pressure without conceding.
I really hope i am wrong but without Gallas,Verts,Kaboul and Ekotto (and a top forward to lead the line)i just can't see it.
 
We need to bring Assou-Ekotto on at half time. Both Naughton and Walker are having terrible games. Decision would be who to bring him on for though. I'd bring him on for Walker and put Naughton in his natural position. Naughton actually looks a clever player, has good vision and passing ability whilst Kyle Walker, is well, Kyle Walker.

Watch the replay and watch Walker early on in the build up, we can still get something from this, all is not lost, no point arguing its done.
 
Perfect game plan from the lads today. Lull united into thinking its same old Tottenham and then BAM AVB time!
 
I think BAE would help get Bale into the game/give Man U more to think about on the left. However Naughton has played wel other than being nowhere near Cleverley for that cross. It'd be a slight gamble but one I'd take.

But he didn't mark anyone.

He ball watched and drifted into the middle where Dawson was already covering. At least get in a position where you can try and stop them, don't leave two of the fudgers behind you un-marked.
 
I missed the pre-match build-up, why is Verts on the bench? Is it injury-related or purely tactical?

We've played quite well, but we've lacked any presence up front. This is a recurring problem; with or without Adebayor.
