*** OMT Spurs v Crystal Palace ***

Dier in a back 4 never fills me with confidence, though at least he has Wanyama and Dembele in front of him. Thankfully, their defence hardly looks rock solid

no Vertonghen?

From OS:- NB, also Lamela's 100th PL appearance

Our team news is in...

Starting XI: Lloris (c), Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Wanyama, Dembele, Lamela, Eriksen, Dele, Kane.

Substitutes: Vorm, Trippier, Foyth, Rose, Sissoko, Lucas, Son.

Toby Alderweireld misses out with a minor hamstring injury. Jan Vertonghen took a heavy knock to his ankle in training yesterday and is also unavailable.

In all there are three changes to the team that faced Arsenal last time out in the Premier League - Aurier for Trippier, Wanyama for Vertonghen and Lamela for Son. Only Wanyama retains his place in the starting line-up from the team that faced Rochdale in the FA Cup last week.

Real test for Sanchez and Dier without the two Belgians and up against two big strong centre forwards.

Need a good game from the rest of the team to make it as easy as possible for our centre backs.

Interesting to see Lamela starting over Son again.

That's a real ropey looking back line. Aurier and Diet are usually good for a mistake in defence.

Who nobbled him in training? Dock that man a weeks pay....:)

Must win in terms of a Top 4 finish, bearing in mind United play Chelsea and Arsenal host City on Thursday night. Really need to win today and next Saturday, that would set us up nicely.

We couldnt have asked to play Palace at a better time with 12 out. Now they just need to go out and do it

Time for Dier to step up today and be a leader - he's not inexperienced any more so would be good to see him running the back-line given he has the young Sanchez and brainless Aurier alongside him.

As Paxton said, there cant be a better time to play Palace and we have plenty of fire-power in the team and on the bench. I can't see us not conceding but hoping that we'll be able to out-score them. Hopefully Townsend's shooting will be up to its usual standard he'll be taking 30 yard pot shots just like he used to at Spurs

Fingers crossed Vertonghen is back for Juve in 10 days time....
