It really is up there, I don't think you can overstate how insane it was.
They got promoted, won the league at the first attempt and then the back to back European cups, it's one of those that will never be repeated it's nuts.

Great example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts, apart Trevor Francis and Peter Shilton they were a team of journeymen with a fantastic manager.

We did the league bit didn’t we, won division 2 in 1950 and then won division 1 in 1951.

Shame there was no EC for them to go for in 1952.
