Good news. Wonder how long away he'll be. Would be nice to get him some game time in the second Europa Leg if we can.

Re: *Official* Holtby

He hasnt played at all in pre season, I would guess it would be mid September before he is ready.

Re: *Official* Holtby

+ 1.

I have hopes about this kid. Could be very good.

+ another....

this guy was bought ridiculously cheap.........but he has MASSIVE potential.....he can alternate between wingers and the no 10 role.....this guy can be our little creator.....massive hopes for the lad also.

Re: *Official* Holtby

I can't wait to see this guy with two of Sandro/Paulinho/Dembele/Capoue behind him and Soldado, Willian and Lamela/Bale infront of him, think he could be in for some season if he takes the opportunity when he eventually gets it.

Re: *Official* Holtby

Knee injury IIRC..he got it during the U21 Tourney.

ugh.. that's always the hardest to recover from. not sure if the pitches or boots, or the players having too much bulk on them; injuries are really taking a toll on the game.

Re: *Official* Holtby

He works hard and there must be a good reason why he kept his place in that Schalke side for so long, but I'm starting to see why they let him go so cheaply, especially when they have players like Draxler.

The reason they let him go so cheaply was that he only had 5-6 months left on his contract.

Re: *Official* Holtby

He got 82 minutes with the U21s tonight. And scored a goal.

Looks like his recovery is progressing well...
