You're right, we have. It was Davies and Vorm IIRC

It does occur to me though that our club is more likely to get into these types of scrapes because of how we've behaved in the past. You get the feeling that Levy and co have constantly moved the goalposts in deals over the years and reneged on commitments made around the negotiation table. Is there perhaps a little bit of what goes around comes around here perhaps? Would it have happened the same way to another club who made the same moves as us over MGW?

I know Hugo said some telling things in his book about Levy. From memory so did Modric. They tone it down for their books as well.

I do suspect you are right tbf.....though other clubs do far more egregious things than us, just on a different plane...

Why would tone it down for their books? You'd usually exagerate.

Because they're all public people and they have advisors and filters. I could just tell in Hugo's book that he was writing very diplomatically. I'd love to have a few drinks with him and find out what he actually thinks. LOL - as long he's not driving of course

Harry and meghan were public people. Anyone who writes an autobiography is public.

Yes and no. We called out chelsea and utd over modric and berba. We should always hold out for yhe best deal for the club.
But if the club signed a player and had a release clause in the contract. They should honour it.
We have fudged over clubs in the past though. Paying more for kulu and less for bentancur to knock the uraguayan club a bit of sell on. Vorm and siggurdson think was the same.
We don't actually know the terms of the release clause.

It's like with any club, some have good relations and some have bad with other clubs. If Levy wasn't well thought of he wouldn't have been voted onto the excutive board of the European Club Association.

lol - the ECA chairman is currently Nasser Al-Khelaifi. He's from Doha and chairman of PSG. Clearly you have to have a load of integrity in the game to be part of the ECA.

The ECA is just pointless in my opinion. As if FIFA or UEFA would listen to the ECA members and not just do their own thing.

It's all politics and optics at that level. Levy's value is with us.

Who said anything about integrity? Don't see much of it in football in general.
His value is with us but if he didn't have any respect in football he wouldn't have got voted onto it, contrary to your point about us getting into these scraps because of Levy.

Absolutely agree. And have heard similar myself, from a couple of horses mouths!!! It does feel, in this case, that he's simnply encountered somneone who is a total and utter headcase with regards to what he believes he can do, but generally speaking I think it hurts us, yes. Contrast that with Liverpool, who seem to simply get on with it and get it done!

have to say I thought it was pretty bland...to the point that I missed the point of correction you made via his book earlier!!!!!!
