Mikey Moore

Odobert is well ahead of Mikey Moore at this stage. Honestly, it's like tradition on this place every pre season - if a homegrown young player does something of note in a meaningless friendly he will get hyped up as potentially ready for the PL squad.

Moore is not good enough for PL football currently and why he's being looked at a loan out to an inferior German league. It's the next stage of his development, and he certainly hasn't done more than Odobert in his Spurs career....
its not based on one Friendly.

Odobert Stats:
40 appearances 1 goal and 2 assists ( worse than I thought )

Not that I judge purely based on goals and assist stats anyway, but Moores stats are no better and Odobert has scored 2 important goals in a Europa League knockout game in the season we won.

So no Moore hasn't done more in a Spurs shirt....

I think the difference between them in a Spurs shirt is hair splitting at best

Odobert just seems to play within himself. I’ve seen it be rumoured he is one of the players that fears the home crowd the most. His talent is clear it’s just the mental side that is lacking.

If we bring in Savinho & Gapko I’d be happy to keep
Moore around until January. By that point Kulusevski and Odobert may have come back and found some form again and we can loan him. Or he may have done well enough to stick around and those 2 are looking to depart.

We absolutely need to have a plan to intergrate Moore, W.Barnett and Hardy/Byfield in to the first team squad over the next 1-2 seasons though.

That’s pretty vague mate!

Looks perfectly fine to me for his age. Fantastic prospect.

Paul O’Keefe was the one that said it from what I recall. Odobert turns 22 in a few months he’s beyond the prospect stage now. If he doesn’t become a meaningful contributor or the team this season it will be time to cut our losses.

You’re joking right? POK knows nothing.

That’s some framing of the conversation mate lol… Turns 22 in a few months and has been injured for the last 6? So the last time we saw him play he’d just turned 21! he’s never had an injury free run with us.

What does that even mean?

We can only register 17 international players. They all need to contribute you can’t use those spots for developmental players. Same will apply to Tel next season.

Homegrown players who are under 21 like Moore can be given more time to develop because they are not taking up one of those spots.
