There's no way you could be comparing the 6th league of England to a top national league, even if it's not as illustrious as many other top-flight leagues. The level of expectation when you're playing with international players mixed in with the fight to get European football makes the comparison silly at best.

Scotland is a great league for players to make their mark.
Toughens them up physically and mentally and if they're good enough for the 1st team squad in England they'll become part of it.

How did we play against Rangers in the EL last season? Your remark is pretty derogatory given the fact that we finished seventeenth last season conceding over sixty goals.

How many starts would he get in the Championship next season, i would guess as many as he would by staying at the club. Top clubs in the Championship aiming for the PL or three three teams relegated last season won't be starting a seventeen year old.

Rangers have a very good manager, and Moore would be a very good addition for them.

This move isn't about the standard of the opposition, it's about getting competitive exposure.
 
I think it would be a terrible move for him he's a young lad and I believe the sectarian nature of the football clubs in the city would put unbearable pressure on him. I like Glasgow but I was an outsider with no loyalty to either faction.

Totally agree. We talk him up so much. If he is as good as we think he should be first name on the team sheet every game for any championship side or Rangers.

It goes hand in hand with the hype that some of the same fans have been talking about him being a generational talent. So the expectations for him are incredibly high for some of the fan base.

The truth is if he was truly a generational talent, he'd probably be getting a lot of 1st team games right now.

I think a loan away will be good for him, gets him games and away from over the top pressure that our fan base is putting on him and gets him closer and ready to play games for us.

Were kane and modric generational talents? Was bale?
Kane and bale weren't starting week in week out for us at the same age.
It's easier for young players abroad. Playing against easier opposition and less physical leagues.
Yes a loan would be good for him. But lets not try and pretend the kid hasn't got massive potential. If he realises it is up to him though. But if he can convert what he's done so far to the senior level in the next few years he will be a great player.

It's interesting to delve into the bolded bit: whee exactly has this pressure come from? I suspect it's a bit of PR spin made partly by those close to the club to justify our (imo, not great) transfer window last summer. Some of that PR spin might also be to placate his parents, who are by all accounts very pushy/ambitious for him.

You are right: if he was that much of a generational talent, he'd be getting more games AND being effective. Hopefully a loan to somewhere away from us, but also with enough pressure to perform is the making of him.

The spin as you call it is because he has excelled beyond every age group
Just like nwaneri or Rooney or Foden or hoddle did
We live in a world where everyone knows everything about everyone don’t forget (scary and grim imo)
The noise will be even more next year when Max Dowman gets chances at Arsenal
We should embrace it but also give him time to thrive
His patents are pretty chilled from what little I know
You’re 100% right about the loan though. He needs the expectation to follow him imo
