Mikey Moore

As we saw with Bergvall the distance from not quite being at the level to thriving doesn't have to be that long.

I agree that with us being in the CL a loan probably will be the best option. But he's a special talent and even when he was hooked at half time etc it was mostly from a lack of impact rather than looking out of place imo.

Think it would be good to let the new manager have a look at him in preseason.
Bergvall already had regular mens first team football.

Yes, I'm aware of that. But we've also seen other players here and elsewhere step up without needing a loan first. It was just an example of a player needing time to settle in and the differences in how a player can look before and after getting up to speed.

Moore stepping up at 17 isn’t the same as winks at 20 odd
Ok.

My point is that it happens sometimes. Here or our on loan, players look out of place, not at the level, then step up given a bit of time. Meaning that it's difficult to know what he or any other player is ready for before he's had the chance to show what he can do with some chances and time.

And also you can look across moth London at Moores peer at the affiliates … a player who Moore is equally as talented as
My issue last year was he was getting opportunities on the right when that wing his side (IMO)
If we gonna square peg him, I’d rather he got a good year in, in the championship at an attacking side (Norwich would be good)

Ange thought different otherwise he'd have sent him out on loan.
Spurs seemed to believe he was ready so what's changed since?
Last contract extension: Aug 12, 2024, Contract expires: June 30, 2027
I would guess we wanted to give him the first team 'experience' to know he's wanted, and get him to sign. His appearances have shown he's not quite ready yet.
The virus may have prevented a January loan.

Have you watched his performances? What has he done in any game that he has shown he is ready?
Ange obviously didn't think he was ready or he would've used him a lot more. He was constantly sat on the bench not even getting a few minutes at the end.

To put it in perspective, Werner has better stats.

The whole point of the loan is to get used to the physicality of mens football. Better to aim a bit lower and get that experience, than waste a year of development. They can always step up the year after.
