Michael Dawson

Erm, at the risk of sounding sad and a tad stalkerish, I count his hoof's every game. I've left threads and posts in the past about it and havent stopped counting them since.

Do you count all misplaced passes from all players? It might put things in perspective.

Who says I lost my right to participate ? You ? Were you laughing while typing that, or just looking down your very long nose at me ?

While some may tinkle you off beyond measure at thinking we know better than the clubs manager and pro's, you tinkle some off beyond measure at your better than everyone else attitude.

p.s. I certainly do not have a fat arse.

and I have a splendid and well proportioned nose

I said you did - because you are an irrational stalker of Dawson, you freakin wierdo.

Wriggly, despite disagreements, I think that you can be a great poster, and mostly I love the stuff you put in - but at times you go too far.

We all could see that Daws wasn't taking the most cultured route, fighting fire with fire perhaps, but we can all see that it was the pitch, the opposition and the occasion. Like totman said, he was hardly stand out in playing below his potential.

As I said, all I did was to stick up for the guy, as an antidote for the irrational and stupid points and winges, I'm hardly going to say that it was the beautiful game I love to see.

Take it from me, I don't think I'm better than everyone else - but I know for a fact that I am a damn sight more rational and level headed about our team and its players than a LOT of posters, and frankly - I don't give a toss if people think me big headed for saying so. Because you only have to look at some of the brick posted during match threads, to see how over excited and emotional people get.

You fell into that trap, trying to showpiece your hobby horse hatred of a pretty good defender, who has put in some classy shifts lately and you have never had the decency to say so. If you want to be respected, slate someone for something you believe to be wrong, but also swallow your pride and give them credit when its due.

I don't, but then I dont count a misplaced pass from Dawson either, its a hoof forward from front to back.

I might do that though from all players next game, though I very much doubt we'll do much of it against the scum.

Believe me Mick, I do

It's just sometimes people find it easier to spot the bad rather than the good.

I'll tone the Daws slander down a bit.

Change our system, not change the team. An important difference.

As Michael Cox at the Guardian said, this was the first time Spurs had started with three centre-backs playing in position in Redknapp's entire reign.

There i no problem with rotating players, however i agree changing the system was more likely to inspire Stevenage then us. I can imagine their manager saying before the game " look lads they are worried about our game , so get out there and get into them"

Why is it an issue to change the system? We need to try out different things and you know why? BECAUSE WE ARE BECOMING A TEAM THAT OPPOSITION WILL ATTEMPT TO STIFLE. Why not try it against 2nd division opposition? If you cant try it against them who WILL you try it against?

Ok this might be an extreme analogy, but if you work in an accountancy firm and are a tax specialist, would you be comfortable doing audits ? If someone got sacked from Tax, would you hire an Audit specialist ? Dont changes the system, change the personel like for like.

Mistake letting him go, Vertonghen virtually untested, Kaboul who can look like a clown at times and Gallas who is still our best CB but getting on and seemingly injury prone, when we play Carlise away in the FA cup in the middle of February then Dawson is the man, like I say imo a big mistake if he goes.

Brian Ellis @BrianEllis7

QPR have offered Michael Dawson guaranteed first team football if he leaves Spurs. How can any manager promise that?

Probably in the Championship next year...

Dawson has been a loyal spurs servant, but he needs to move on if he wants to play regularly.

Thank you Michael for all you have done, the very best of luck for the future.

£5.5m for Dawson should be turned down, a disgraceful offer. He's much better than that.

I can't imagine a scenario where he will accept the move anyway, QPR are a horrible team
