Luka Vuskovic

I’d be uneasy if Barcelona and Bayern Munich wanted to spend £70M on me and be part of their first team but Spurs were telling me “need another loan we’ve got Kevin Danso”
I doubt either of those teams would have Vuskovic in their first team. I also doubt either of those teams would spend anything like £70m on Vuskovic.

What Vuskovic needs more than anything, is to prove himself when playing in a 2 in a top league.

Playing in the middle of a 3 is a completely different scenario (unless RDZ wants us to play in a 3).

You can't throw a kid into the PL 2, when he has been playing in a 3 for so long.

Well you can. Danso, Romero & VDV were all playing predominantly in a back 3 in their leagues before they joined Spurs.

TBF it's dont think anyone thinks its that simple, I trust those suggesting it are taking into account the potential downsides without always expressing them

Hence why folk like myself use the term bravery

I would posit that 'bravery' and our fanbase over the last few years are not exactly always best friends?

I think what Vuskovic needs more than anything is the PL experience. If you're a centre half then the PL is the one league in the world that you need to prove yourself. Credit to Harry, he got 36 league goals in an impressive Bundesliga campaign. He'd do really well to hit that target in the PL. The defenders and defensive setup is at a different level in England. Luka needs to come and experience it in my opinion.

I agree.
Frankly, if I were the club, I'd be looking at the recently promoted sides and see if any would like to take him for the season? Coventry maybe? He'd certainly get experience. Then next summer, when we are hopefully back in Europe/the CL, we can possibly take him back. He turned 19 in February. He is still very young, and at 6ft 4", there are a couple more developmental things to take place, and I genuinely believe another season where we are solidifying who we are under DeZerbi and where he can regularly play games would be very beneficial. One thing to note, he is not considered especially fast, and he apparently can also appear quite slow on the turn. I think plunging him into all we are right now could possibly backfire. Just an opinion of course, whaddo I know LOL!
