What I liked most today was that he took his chance to send a message and say "I'm as good as any of the others you have Poch, so pick me for the big games." It's amazing how few players actually take that opportunity, most simply confirm why they aint in the first XI.

As much as admiring his ability to run with the ball I was also impressed by his workrate and his bravery. He doesn't mind putting his foot in. I think he will quickly become a crowd favourite. Having him in the squad will also allow us to push Son up front when we give Harry a rest and not have to rely on Llorente.

I have to admit I didn't think he would make much of an impact this year, or even be picked to be on the bench much until at least late March or early April, but from what I saw today he should be one of our first attacking options off the bench starting with the very next game.

Lots of good signs, though I did notice he cut in every single time and continued to use his right foot, which limited his options. I wonder if he'd be better coming in from the left?

Poch prefers his wide men cutting in. Using his right foot wont be a problem as long as he makes the right passes. The fact he was used today on both the right and left just makes him very useful to us.
