Let's hope Poch hasn't frowned upon these comments; hopefully Wimmer is at least on the bench vs West Brom. We will need him sometime soon imo
With Toby out, and Wimmer not even on bench for last nights game. I take it he is injured or finished at the club.

I'm surprised he didn't start actually, showed last year that he is a very strong player. Dier could then have played in his regular position, I mean how many times has Dier played at CB since he joined us. Do we still believe that long term he'll be an option there?

I seriously cannot see Wimmer not being in Poch's plans. Jan is 29 and in a couple of years time will be past his peak. Wimmer is the obvious and proven choice to take over.

Did you not read the Poch quotes on this page about Wimmer left foot and CCV right foot and balanceCameron Carter Vickers might be higher rated for long term potential at the moment. Another challenge for Wimmer if he wants to become a regular starter for us, but not insurmountable.
He's a right-sided CB. As is Dier. The only cover on the left is Wimmer. Davies can cover too, but I do not see him as the long-term option when Jan is not up to par any longer.Cameron Carter Vickers might be higher rated for long term potential at the moment.
