West Ham fans a couple of months ago were talking about how they couldn't seen them winning another game all season and had gone 10 without a win. Then they win against us, and have looked forwards ever since. Things change quickly in football, even after this extremely poor run we are still not in the bottom 3. We will go on a run at some point in the near future, I'm convinced of it no matter how bad we look right now and will be getting a few players back over the next few weeks.

And most importantly, you have your health (I hope!) and loved ones. There are far more important things than football, learnt that a long time ago....

The case for the prosecution here was that Tudor was pleading with him to push up and VdV looked at him with disdain and didn’t do it. It wasn’t anything complicated he was allegedly being asked to do.

I’m not sure if that interpretation of events is correct. It’s hard to know and sometimes clips like that can be difficult to judge in isolation. In situations where emotions are running high, I guess people will make of it what they want to (potentially including me).

Be interesting to hear what Tudor has to say when he’s asked this week. He doesn’t strike me as the type to flimflam an answer.

I'm pretty sure part of the exchange was vdV gestured towards Palhinha and basically cautioned to Tudor that they couldn't play higher the way he was already struggling with the line. I don't think it was disobedient, it was bringing a different perspective to the discussion

Dragusin looked good? When? These concerns were always there. The excuse that he might look better under a box defending coach like Frank was even made. Dragusin is what he is, his limitations are what they are.

I said he has looked better rather than good, which is true, based on my previous observations. He's definitely limited with the ball at his feet, but at either the last Euros or last WC he looked decent for Romania. A classic put your body on the line type defender. Certainly not as bad as he has looked since coming back into the team. And it's not just his technical ability that has been a concern but also his inability to react to changing situations around him.

It makes me wonder if there is any lasting psychological effects from the serious injury and long lay off that followed. It may just be that he needs to play himself back into form, of course.

I'm thinking the same. More importantly, back then, the teams around us were much, much worse. Real minnows. And we had quality players like Ginola, Klinsmann. We were extremely poor at the back, but we had it within ourselves to win matches. Now? Not so sure...

I'd go so far as to say that these teams tinkle all over what we have now, even more so if you take the injured players out of the equation. And Leeds, Wet Spam and Forest are much stronger than Everton, Barnsley and Bolton were. Can't see us scoring more than 40 points this time, so we have to hope the rest of the relegation fodder fare even worse.

I agree. Having watched that back, I can't see what the fuss is about. There's nothing there that suggest VdV is ignoring Tudor for me.

There's a narrative developing around VdV, probably based on his comments around Ange and snubbing Frank after Chelsea, that this plays into. I believe it's unfair and I don't see what some people are seeing in this clip (assuming I have the right clip).

This is not all on Frank although undoubtedly he has to shoulder some of the blane. We've been really poor in the league now for 2 seasons. Injuries have definitely not helped but we look all over the place defensively now which is a worry. Dragusin is not match fit after that long lay off. He looked better before the injury imho.

You didnt say it overtly but your comment about "6 months" could only have related to 1 manager.
