Harry Kane MBE

He was a good player in his pomp. Part of a good team that Allardyce put together at Bolton.

Eh. I was replying to someone who asked if he was a penalty or free-kick specialist - my point was that he was the low-grade version of Lampard, all late runs into the box and finishing off balls played in/bouncing around after some wild defending.

I don't think he was particularly great. I don't think he was particularly bad either - as I said, he could pull off an overhead kick or a flashy volley every now and then, so he wasn't devoid of talent by any means. But he was a tap in merchant, first and foremost.

Allardyce ?

Hopefully today was precautionary. You could see they were signalling from him to come off immediately.

The fact he walked off is a start, but the worry is that it looks the same ankle as he did v Sunderland.

A promising update on Monday would be nice, but as mentioned in the match thread, if we could get by next week v Soton, he has 20 days to recover before the run-in begins

Just seen the clip off him going down the tunnel shaking his head. Hoping that is just disappointment at going off today, and not the sign he think its a bad one

The freak injuries we have suffered to big players in matches this season defies belief, it really does.

I've often thought extraterrestrial beings have been interfering with traffic lights and putting lorries in front of me when I'm rushing for work etc and now I believe they are meddling in the affairs of my football team as well.

clams.
