Hmm I'm less convinced the save from sure was a pretty standard save, albeit in a high pressured moment.

He was flapping all over before then

If VDV hadn't cleared off the lines I'm not sure the feeling towards him would be so positive.

First half corner, comes out flaps at it - ends up palming it out to Maguire who sets up Amad who fires accross the box - lucky no one got a touch or went in at far post.

Second half Bruno free kick, near post makes a hash of it as flat footed and does some weird forward dive and lucky the ball doesn't bounce into the danger zone.

The previously mentioned VDV off the line

3 occasions we got lucky they didn't score

sorry. I didn’t pick up you was talking about a specific game
But he still made saves in that game as he does in others

People are focusing on the goal because it came from his supposed area of strength; shot stopping. He should have caught the ball. I don’t know why goalies have such an aversion to catching the ball these days.

It’s the way they are coached
Same as strikers not playing the same
Same as full back now being the hardest position (imo) because it’s changed
I don’t know why though
Maybe it’s because we have seen more international keepers play here and it’s something i know they certainly used to do more of on the continent
I do agree he should have done better
 
He did stop the shot.

If the opposition get a second bite that's on the defence.

It's also on the defence that the first header wasn't won.

Vic could have done better, but there is a lot of blame to go around.

Stopping the shot in the loosest sense of the word. Whether he’s coached to push it out or not, he could and should have caught it.
