General Transfer Rumour Discussion Thread

I can understand that he deserves better BUT are Man United really that far ahead of us? They used to be, under Sir Alex, but I'm unconvinced now.

I can understand that Lloris may eventually move on, I hope not for a long time, but why not sell him abroad?

i can't stand Man United's attitude. I am happy that they have had a fall from grace. I can't see why we should let them have one of our best, and most popular, players. They can fudge off.

Because they have an idiot in charge of their transfers and I believe they would pay a record fee for a gk and take Ade of our hands due to their desperation. Its not brilliant and would leave us scratching around for another gk.

plus any player that gets made our captain is sold shortly after;)

No way do I want to see the move happen. We would fall back to Vorm, who is far behind Lloris in terms of quality. We may as well write this season off, if we sell Hugo. They can look elsewhere for a keeper, our's is going nowhere.

Plus, I'm sure that Adebayor was captain in the past and he's still here. :(.

well looks like Navas will be part of the deal, so no need to worry.

DeGea to Real is done, 29 mill quid (40 mill euros) and Navas will go the other way to Utd

If its a loan with option to buy ( Wilson), I don't mind it - he has a lot of potential.
Big risk though

If Pearce really won't play ball with SB and we don't want Austin ( for whatever reason), then its best we get someone in as an extra option, even if just for EL early rounds and as an extra option.

Moses, is he really better than Townsend?

cor crikey...I will have to take a few viagra to get me excited about us signing Moses.

edit: ah sorry you were chuntering about Wilson...my bad....

dont want us to be developing utd players or helping out chelsea.

...and what would the point of that be exactly?

A new partnership deal?

We take James Wilson with a promise of so many minutes game time, they take on Adebayor's wages. Also, a deal in place for Lloris' signing for them in the summer of 2016?

Yeah Moses would be pointless. I rather give Onomah a shot

Wilson I genuinely think is worth a go for a small fee or loan with medium option to buy fee. I think he could be just a season off of being a top 6 striker.

Had not thought along those terms....surely utd wouldnt want Ade though.......would they?

Dunno Nigey ....Maybe Mrs Adebayor has jujud LVG into thinking he's getting a bargain?

I suppose from their POV, it's a deal where their youngster's development is fast tracked by getting Premiership, EL time, and they also get an experienced player that can come off the bench and get them a goal or two. LVG tactical genius when a goal is needed will now be a double substitution of Fellaini and Adebayor.
