All rides on our next 3 home games I think.

- Emirates Marketing Project we have a good record against, agree that it will suit his style
- Saudi Sportswashing Machine really up and down and definitely beatable
- Arsenal's wobbles might have started and anything could happen in a derby. Crowd will hopefully be right up for

Get 6 or 7 points from those games and he will have earnt himself a stay of execution until the end of the season for me. Then he's got the 3 months from Arsenal until the end of the season as somewhat of a free hit to show us what the future would look like with him at the helm.

Lose all 3 of those and he'll be done. Perhaps unfair that a difficult run like this should be decisive, but that's what those results against West Ham, Burnley, Bournemouth, Sunderland etc will get you.
Think it will hinge on the away game to United too, if he lasts that long.

Depends of course on how those teams below us do (particularly West Ham), but somewhere between zero and three points from those games and we could quite possibly be counting ourselves in a relegation scrap.

On one hand Frank is probably one of those "could be handy in a relegation scrap" type managers. But if we get there chances are things have soured to the point that actually doing that job will be very difficult.

I agree that a good run now could give him a "free hit". Getting increasingly difficult to see how that happens.

We want to lose to City though?

There is no chance I wanna roll over for City, none
We can't afford to this season. We are in real danger of going down, probably relying on at least two of West Ham, Burnley and Forest not to put a run together at some point in order for us to be safe.

If we go down then we are in massive trouble with our wage bill and huge level of debt. I am really surprised that the club haven't done something like putting in a bid for Mateta at, or at least close to, the £35m that Palace are apparently wanting. Frank's system needs a lump up front to sling it up to and if Solanke breaks down we are in even bigger trouble than we are now. Mateta in would likely be enough for us to secure our safety, while also putting Palace more in the do-do.

I just think it stinks of being small time to ever say you want to roll over and lose on purpose, it didn't sit well with me under Ange either and I agreed massively with his take on it
