** FA Cup 4th Round - Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project **

We lived with them for 87 minutes - at least on the score sheet. If we'd nicked it, we would be in raptures. But we were second best. Didn't pass well. Took too long on the ball too often. City got into us well, they were physcial and didn't allow us much room. Our players weren't ready for that.

Keep your heads up lads. We'll be back.

Well, there's no shame in losing 0-1 to that lot.

Just the league to worry about now. Emirates Marketing Project and Arsenal have CL games to focus on, while Liverpool and Villa will be hoping to go far in the EL and ECL.

Sonny, Sarr and Bissouma back, Maddison fresh. Top 4 should be possible.

It's disappointing, but that City team when they're at their best (they were tonight) are probably the best team in the world. No shame in that. We've still got a long way to go to reach their ceiling level.

Will never happen without oil money.

Why did the bloody flaming galah system break down under some sustained pressure at our fortress mate?
Because they played better than us. Because they have world-class players all over the pitch. We're missing our one world-class player, had our next best player come on for the last 20 minutes. The two best attackers we have.

Because it's football and sometimes the performances aren't as good as we'd all like.

Think Son might have pulled a goal out of his arse and we'd have won that 1-0.

I don't have a problem with that as a goal. Keeper needs to be stronger. However, next week you'll see a similar one which is given as a foul. No consistency in them.
We should have had a player(s) protecting keeper from Diaz and to get any loose ball. Vicario did actually get a punch on it but hit Vdv and ricocheted to Ake. Should have more players around the keeper though.

Disappointing from us for sure, particularly our unwillingness to release the ball early when good runs had been made. But I have to say City were excellent. Their pressing early in both half's was insane, totally suffocating for our boys. They pass it sublimely, barely anything is misplaced. And they defend their box brilliantly, always seem to have the numbers back despite their attacking tendencies.

They are the benchmark, but this time next year we will be closer to them I fancy.

So no one's allowed to ask questions of your messiah? 🤣
Come on mate, we were playing the best team in the world for the last couple of seasons and missing Son, Sarr, Bissouma, a half fit Bentancur and a 10% fit Maddison (not to mention the likes of Solomon and sessengnon who’d at the very least give us the chance to not flog our first choice players in those positions). We were pretty crap and lost 1 nil, it happens sometimes.

Let’s judge the system on what we’ve seen so far, unless you think we should be beating this City side with the 18 man squad available tonight? In which case I would disagree with you.

One of Sarr and Bissouma would definitely have been back by the replay because if they both win their last 16 ties early next week, then they meet in the QF a week tomorrow.

But there is a chance all three of them could be back for Everton let alone the replay.

Didnt spot that, so at least Sarr or Bissouma is back for Brighton, thats a mini-bonus. seems the winner is likely to meet Egypt on Feb 7, so both could be back.

Now its all about the league 4 of our next 5 are at home, plus Everton away. We HAVE to make that run count

Well , one consolation from city's display is that the goons arent winning the title. Got to be the scousers or city hasn't it ?
