FA Cup 23/24

BBC quiz today = name the fa cup finalists since 1987 (37).

We have made just one final in all that time. Chelsea made 13.

What was the rant this time? I do often think he speaks sense, dispite his mania
Just about why City had to play on the Sat after the Wednesday Champs League game when Utd, Cov and Chelsea had all week off, why couldn’t they play the Sunday game and get the extra day off?

City looked shot to me, nothing like the City were used to. Massive opportunity missed for Chelsea again for me, like the league cup final v Pool kids.

I think they’ve massively underperformed all season to be honest. No way this squad should be languishing so low. They SHOULD be performing like this, it shouldn’t be an exception or a surprise or as a result of playing a team dead on their feet.

Edit: I had them top 4 at the start of the season, we’ve benefitted from the likes of Chelsea, Utd, Geordies underperforming
No but I give them the same benefit I give Ang as in its a build and given he is third cab off rank with same side, maybe they need to stick with one guy like I advocate Ange. It's also clear those signed before him are mainly duds.

Someone mentioned to me they are now largely unbeaten in a long time so maybe he is starting to turn the tide, who knows, who cares I suppose, but they were largely impressive today which tool me aback considering I don't see much of them

The run of unbeaten games includes home draws v 10 man Burnley, Sheff Utd and Brentford though.

Not saying sack him, but I think it’s a bit of stretch to build it as him doing a decent job there. It’s an underperforming squad that you give a pass to because it’s his first season there.

Na it's not that deep, literally second time I've seen them and was shocked with how competent they looked given the narrative I see alot of. Easy come easy go here mate, they can do what they like, just given the nature of the game they are gonna have to give one of these managers a go and given what I saw today it seems they may as well give Poch the time.

I will leave it up to those that dedicate more time to watching them to work out if that's accurate or not

Yea They should give Poch the time, it’s actually one of the benefits of not being able to afford to sack him, they have to give it to him. They’ll be better next season I’m almost certain of it. This season really hasn’t been great though, I’ve seen them a fair bit and they’ve struggled a lot, the xg thing is a bit of a freak from getting awarded a pen every other game.

Massively over paid for players but the players aren’t brick, that’s just an easy out for me, give them structure and a bit if coaching and they should be challenging in the top 4.

'There will be an inquest!' into United giving up a 3-0 lead to a championship side apparently, have these fudge wit commentators not watched football since Fergie retired?
