Eberechi Eze

Him and his old man were as much stalling the deal as anyone, that was the point, he wanted to play in a game as a good bye and was under pressure in the background before the new people came in. There was lots going on a alot of noise around him playing with his emotions, loyalty and head.........it does happen you know despite everyone making out transfers are purely transactional for everyone.

Anyway I said it when it happened have said it again today and TBH can't be bothered going over old ground like some love to. So will leave it there.
Ok. I understand what you are saying about Greslish specifically. But does it not strike you as a bit of a repeated pattern that we never seem to win the competitive deal for the proven player?

And I’m not saying I don’t understand that there are sometimes reasons for that, our strategy, our constraints etc. I am saying though that it is a repeated pattern. And we COULD do things a bit differently without bankrupting the club. Especially in the example of Grealish, if we were willing to offer 30m at the end of the cycle, clearly we could have offered it earlier and it wouldn’t have thrown our whole sustainability into question.

I think that ignores the ones we have signed.

I do question Eze’s mentality too, if a club binned me as a 13 year old and their rival tried to sign me I’d be straight there ramming the mistake down their throat.

Just like Kane did.

Except if you got binned by Spurs, having the chance to sign for Arse*al. I certainly wouldn't think twice, and I think none on here would.

not in tonight’s squad, there you go then, if you needed any confirmation that he and Palace were just messing us about and playing for time by keep picking him this last week you’ve just got it. No doubt there’ll still be some talking about add ons or some other nonsense though! :D
