If Spence goes then it is inevitably because his manager is happy for him to go. As @robp135 has said a few times, it could well mean that a player like Gray is more highly rated for RDZ’s project which is also about having the right dynamics of ethic, winning personalities, tactical brains etc. The stuff we can’t really see to be fair. If he stays and wins the RB shirt, it’s the same thing.

I don't understand the logic you have here. You want to actively weaken the depth of the squad. What happens if Porro breaks his leg in game week 1? We play our brand new CB at RB for an extended period of the season? Van Hecke has played RB a grand total of 6 times in his entire career and never in the PL.

Your squad building ethos is backwards. We want depth in specialism, not jack of all trades, not good at anything in particular players as backups. That's literally where we have gone wrong in recent years.

It's funny and transparent. Why they don't just say they don't rate Spence and want him gone and be done with it I don't know. All these jumping through hoops is crazy.
