Daniel Levy - Chairman

I just hope levy has taking a change in his approach and not just spending lots of money on lots of average players in the hope that they become good for a return.

So far the window has been decent but not the backing required to as he said win the league, the champions league, or at the very least backing Frank to the hilt.

But there is time yet.

I honestly also think we think others are better than they are. Like Saka is good, but nowhere near what people think, Doku is over paid pap, Wirtz will be good but not 120m good, there is loads of that out there, like I say we have a massive history of covet for other team players whilst downplaying ours (ironically after coveting them)...........

I don't want us to go out and JUST buy a LW for the sake of it or a player who we all want as a 10, just because, who turns out crap and blocks a path

Nothing wrong in getting solid top players and peppering the team with academy players. But to get average players who are blocking internal pathways has been criminal throughout the years. I just hope that levy’s backing is more than seen before, in a sense of getting players for the here and now and let Frank deal with the younger players

I am tinkled off with the Eze deal and the theme of signing failures, but there is another train of thought.

Hiring a manager who gets the most out of a squad that has been invested in, including a massive youth investment and academy could be seen as a right decision, as in hiring the wrong manager is seen as the wrong one...........you can't have it all ways.

Also, we have just won a European Trophy and have started the season very very well..........we are hardly Sheffield Wednesday

*Caveat of me being fairly provocative with this post, but also with some truth
*Not part of a cult
*just a discussion

My only real gripe with the Eze thing is that we stayed away from bidding for him for a long time, he is not a typical 'Frank' player per se, we then decided to go in hard for him anyway, we failed and we spun a couple of narratives which essentially say that "we knew all along the player would probably not sign for us given the choice" and "had a feeling he was holding out" (I think the latter is rubbish BTW). IF we had all these instincts and foresights, then why did we not just withdraw earlier? Anyway, it is history but history repeates itself...I am hoping this is the final part ofd history having repeated itself from before and that we don't get into these situations any longer.

You have to hope pal, thats half the game ey.....

A couple of lovely players added and I honestly think this could be a very decent season

It's not whether he's a superstar the question is he better than we already have? I don't know the answer but the club seemed to deem him to be so and of interest. Why now are you finishing his quality? Is it because we failed in signing him?
I've never been convinced on him, for me he's slightly above palace level but not at the level we want.

For me perfectly fine to go for the highest rates target even if we're unsure it will happen.

I think part of it was that we've been really prioritising ready made, experience and PL proven players. And I think that makes sense.

But then need several other good targets when that doesn't happen.
