Daniel Levy - Chairman

Absolute shambles?

We are one of the best run sports businesses in the world.

You want to see a club who are a shambles, look at Sheffield Wednesday.

Let’s have some sense of perspective here.

That’s great but we are a football club with the performance on the pitch being the most important part.

Not read anything in this thread for ages but the one thing that strikes me is the press have this narrative, call it "sexy" whatever, and it's click bait. Evidence BBC headline,"'Reeking of desperation?' - who could Spurs turn to next?" further down "If he's a Gooner we don't want him. Simple." The former fits their narrative and click count, the latter speaks for the vast majority of us.
What really boils my p!ss is all these cvnts who feed into that press narrative. If you think we're one the big 6, 5, 4 (whatever?) and should be acting and spending as such, why don't you fvck off and spend a weekend at one of the grounds, with the supporters of one of the 82 "lesser" clubs, and wake up to the reality of what being a "supporter" of your club means!?!? Don't fvck up my weekend with me mates

I wish i could give your post more then one like.👏

After this week, will you finally accept the problem is Levy?
Or maybe this summer the problem is that the new Chief Executive feels he has to imitate the Chairman's approach to deals? Maybe we had an inkling that the deal might well not happen but thought "well, it's worth a shot". If there's anything to criticise maybe it is the Club's failure to communicate better?
swear to GHod Levy could brick on people's lawns and they'd pat him on the back and say "thank you for fertilising my lawn"

Yes, it happens. A club may be seen as more attractive for many reasons.

"More attractive option for the player" would perhaps be a better way to include those many other factors? But money and profile/recent success are massively factors.

If a club comes in that is a more attractive option for the player we will mostly lose out on a deal. And that will just be a thing that happens. Just like it's happened for Saudi Sportswashing Machine repeatedly this summer it seems.
Using Saudi Sportswashing Machine as an example of how to conduct transfer business - do people even think through what they write on here?

Especially when they have had a decent window... solid backup keeper (who we should have had the vision to loan actually and allow Kinsky to get experience), a young solid midfielder replacing a 30 year old and adding even more pace at right wing from the club where we failed to get a player with an actual release clause...

Plus they made their homework on their top striker choice and simply left the table immediately they got an inkling that he favoured a move elsewhere...

Cherry pick our failures and the successes elsewhere and it turns out we look really disappointing. Strange how that works. Though probably more a result of the difficult feelings when we don't get a player over the line making those stand out rather than actual cherry picking. Whereas we have no feelings around Saudi Sportswashing Machine failing to sign 5 forwards and Isak being on strike.

Yes
Publicly

Oh ok.

Nuno is a Mendes client and they always know how to make sure they get a payoff.

I wonder if rumours of Forest looking to replace Nuno with Ange have forced Nuno to make it happen now before they lose a game badly etc

Would be fascinating to see how Ange would do at Forest

I think he is unhappy there for sure
Doesn’t help his owner came on the pitch to hassle him in that last game
Ange would be interesting there for sure
