Agree and why should they, its just a few idiots waving banners about and being laughed at the the vast majority of fans.

Some are just more interested in transfers than the game itself I have found. I was buzzing about Richy performance yesterday, got home and then logged in (my fault totally) only to see people getting upset about Eze

Ironically the same fans whos rationale for the protest was "it will force deals"

If we do sign Eze, the sugar hit will last about 3 hours before it moves on to the next transfer.

I’ve not seen any of those, seem like straw men to to me.

You may have though, so fair enough.

Saw plenty defend the decision to try and join the super league, put staff on furlough during Covid and when we made no signings for 3 consecutive windows. The farcical managerial search in 2021 that led to us appointing Nuno who was about 12th choice.

Equally if the Super League went ahead with the elite in there and us left scratching round a weaker league system, the same people moaning about it would be up in arms about not being in it.

Furlough was literally built for the use we wanted to, players not taking a cut like in Germany and pressure from the PFA put clubs under financial pressure, yes clubs make loads of money, but without football and players not taking a cut the game haemorrhaged cash hand over foot. We were losing a million pound a day when the game was not being played and had to take that loan to deal with it. The financial geniuses of the fanbase went up in arms about using a system that the majority of the country was using and saw us going further into debt as a club, they would rather see us lose a million a day than use scheme introduced to ease the burden on hospitality, workers, which is exactly what the 400 odd staff at the time were. If anyone was to be the focus of shame it should have been players who unionised whilst sat at home not playing for a year

The Transfer bit was a scandal and I agree they were sh1te for it...........

As was hiring Nuno

As was their treatment of Poch with backing or lack of it

IIRC we were one of the only PL clubs to do so. And then we had to embarrassingly reverse the decision after we got stick for it in the media.

We were.only one of.a couple of clubs that qualified for it iirc - not sure if we reversed the decision, don't remember that.

What.made it the wrong decision in your view?
