What a sprint that was! He truly is a cannonball

awesome, watching it on itv4 right now and he just said afterwards he had to beg this morning for the team to ride for him

loved seeing him flying it is the second best sight in sport after spurs having a good game but it is so sad to see him have to beg for the chance to sprint. What an amazing sprint he looked like he was going at a completely different speed to the rest of them.

Team sky should hang there heads in shame, and cavendish should have knocked out the french president there, socialist prick.

Hope sky will do a led out for him in Paris but im not even sure they will bunch of pricks at team sky.

you seem quite down on Wiggins?

not really, i quite like him as a person and i agree with his rant a week ago about our culture, it has been a bit of a boring tour but like last year when evans won i think wiggins has done it clean so fair play to him.

I think the tour could have done with more finishes on the mountains to encourage more attacks, they put in hillier finishes on the flat stages to stop cavendish from winning all the sprints but it made it overtly tactical when it came to the mountains.

Im glad we have a British winner but im disgusted at how they team sky have treated Cavendish, if it was not for the football i would be calling up sky and cancelling my contract with them.

Been impressed with how wiggins has said he will ride for froome next year so we have a chance of back to back british winners. Would love to see Geriant Thomas in some of the classics next spring think he could do something there.

Best thing about our countries success in the tour is how it will encourage youngsters to get on there bikes and hopefully we can have some more talented riders come through.

I am hoping to get along to see a little bit of the tour of Britain this year. Also as well as us biding for the Tour De France, well yorkshire, i have read in cycling weekly that we are trying to host the worlds in Manchester in 5 years time. Could be a swansong for Cavendish maybe.

Looking forward to watching the time trial today, does it work with the leaders going last or is it drawn ???

I wanna flick between the golf, cricket and dont want to miss Wiggins

Team Sky riders today

The full start times (all BST) for the time trial today at the Tour de France are as follows:

Bernhard Eisel - 1:10:32
Mark Cavendish - 1:11:11

1238 Christian Knees
1336 Edvald Boasson Hagen
1414 Richie Porte
1436 Michael Rogers
1530 Chris Froome
1533 Bradley Wiggins

I would still have liked to see Froome attack in the mountains. Looked much better than Wiggins on a couple of occasions.
