Cristian Romero

He was rash when he first came into our team but you could always see the talent and ability he had, got more use to the english game and he is showing just what a TOP player he is.

Love this guy on the ball, especially the lofted, curled pass round the opposition player to VdV he played a couple of times yesterday. Think he relishes playing in a pass out from the back side and enjoys the sense of risk and showing off his skills.
Yeah tv camera angle was perfect to showcase the curve and the hapless oppossing player trying to figure out the ball's destination

Let's hope that the good atmosphere at the Club under Ange means that injuries heal a little faster - psychology and all that. We have seen at Brentford, when he took off Romero, that Ange is not reckless when it comes to fielding players carrying knocks, so we'll know soon enough.

Agree completely with the second sentence. The first is one magic lemon away from being utter woo.

And there we have it. "Woo" or not, we've all seen how Spurs players seem to take ages to heal. It could be that this happens to every club, and we just pay more attention to our own...or it could be our physio room being run by Gooner clowns...or it could be down to those pesky lemons after all.

Alternatively, what if players just don't work as hard on recovery when they're not motivated? Or don't give us the benefit of the doubt when it comes to club games. We've all seen how Lo Celso seems to recover miraculously when there's an Argentina game on the horizon.

It may not be intentional. If you're enjoying your work, you're going to work harder, and not (necessarily) because you decide that's what you're going to do.

Maybe Ange is just bloody good at motivating players. Add to that the enjoyable football, and being top of the league, and here's a senior player in a top tier international team actually prioritising being fit for a Spurs match. Good lad.

I suspect it's more down to having a smaller squad than our closest competitors.

We are under more pressure to speed up the recovery of those who are injured, we use them more so injuries that occur can be worse, we may even play them when we shouldn't (like Son).

It's different when you can park £100m players on the bench.
