To be fair, he was! But we were worse at the time!Poch and redknapp could have been considered midtable dross before we signed them.

Is that the De Zerbi that was excellent at Brighton and just finished second in France? (Behind the European Champions)
The narrative is easy. He was burnt out after a heroic 5 year charge, but has come back rejuvenated ready to finish the job of winning us the EPL or CL this decade. Boom! They were the third best team in the league in the second half of his season there. Him coming back would mean Levy admitting he got it wrong in sacking him though. I think Pochettino comes back to Spurs when Levy is gone (I'm hoping that is a time in the not too distant future)
Someone posted the stats of physical intensity of clubs. We were more than bournemouth per game. While playing in europe.

If it's Silva or Frank, it's a big 'what was the fudging point' from me mate. You want to fire the man who won us our first trophy in 17 years to hire mid-table dross?
Glasner, perhaps. Poch would be fantastic but I doubt he'd come until after WC 2026.
If it's Paratici's call, we're getting some Italian duffer - de Zerbi or Farioli. The only half-decent choice there would have been Inzaghi, but he's at Al-Hilal now.
I see that (one of Paratici's past favourites) Gattuso is once again available.

Official : Gattuso leaves HNK Hajduk Split after just 1 season
Gennaro Gattuso has officially terminated his contract with Hajduk Split by mutual consent after less than a year at the Croatian club.football-italia.net
I didn't say he was the second coming, but he's certainly not an Italian Duffer.Yes. The de Zerbi that has spent most of the season getting into fights with his players, being tactically inflexible even when he had been figured out, and fighting with his own fans too.
It's France. PSG 1st, then a motley bunch of also-rans second. Marseille spent a lot by their standards, they finished second. It isn't the second coming.
Ha!!I see that (one of Paratici's past favourites) Gattuso is once again available.

Both of them would seem very unlikely.Fair, I am being overly harsh on him. Let's just say he's an enormous risk, as is Farioli.
Thankfully most people no longer live in the 70s.The fanbase united against Gattuso in a way I've seldom seen before,
Nonsense, just the Twitterati, I couldn't give a fudge about what he had said about women and football in the past
Both of them would seem very unlikely.
We, and I include Ange in that, have set a very clear expectation of attitude and personality that we want to espouse - I expect the next person to be a continuation of that.
To be fair to him, I doubt he tries that again. The fanbase united against Gattuso in a way I've seldom seen before, and Gattuso himself then cried about being treated unfairly for his bigoted views later so it clearly got to him.
If it's Paratici picking, my guess is, de Zerbi or Farioli. Both would be (imo) a gigantic gamble, de Zerbi more so than Farioli.
Strewth!
I hope that Paratici isn’t the dominant voice in Levy’s ear if our choice is between a twunt who’s currently managing some highly dubious characters in Marseille or a newbie who lost his job at Ajax after throwing away a 9 point lead.
It's a massive gamble mate. Personally the only manager from Italy that I thought would be worth a punt for us would have been Inzaghi, but he's at Al-Hilal now. Everyone else in that coaching pool (and more broadly, the Serie A coaching pool, which Paratici seems to like pulling from) is a giant gamble.
