Yes. The de Zerbi that has spent most of the season getting into fights with his players, being tactically inflexible even when he had been figured out, and fighting with his own fans too.

The narrative is easy. He was burnt out after a heroic 5 year charge, but has come back rejuvenated ready to finish the job of winning us the EPL or CL this decade. Boom!

Bournemouth did the most sprints and Brighton covered the most ground, we were 2nd in PL at both.

If it's Paratici's call, we're getting some Italian duffer - de Zerbi or Farioli. The only half-decent choice there would have been Inzaghi, but he's at Al-Hilal now.

The funny thing is, personality and attitude-wise, Farioli absolutely fits the bill. Ajax fans and players apparently loved him. He left because he finished 2nd playing atrocious, defense-first football and choked the title late on - he also had transfer disagreements with management. By all accounts he's a great guy and was visibly emotional when he had to leave - even Dutch journos thanked him on the way out just for being himself.

But football wise, he's a huge risk given the above.

De Zerbi, by all accounts, is a c*nt. His own players don't like him.

Everyone else in that coaching pool (and more broadly, the Serie A coaching pool, which Paratici seems to like pulling from) is a giant gamble.
