As for Glasner, agree. He seemed to have an immediate impact at Palace and looks to have that organisation and attention to detail that would work with us
I not sure that's how Palace fans saw it, unless you mean negative impact?.

I like Glasner though. I do think the reason we like some of these candidates is because they look like they do details and tactical intricacies? :)

Can you elaborate on what you meant by the bold bit?

I was thinking the same. From Wikipedia.....

On 19 February 2024, Glasner was appointed manager of Premier League club Crystal Palace, signing a contract until the end of the 2025–26 season. He replaced Roy Hodgson, who stepped down as manager the same day.[18][19] He did not take charge of the match against Everton that day, which was overseen by interim manager Paddy McCarthy; he was instead seen watching the 1–1 draw from the Goodison Park stand alongside chairman Steve Parish.[20][21] Glasner won his first game in charge, beating Burnley 3–0 at Selhurst Park on 24 February.[22] On 14 April, Glasner won his first away game with the club, ending Liverpool's 29-game unbeaten streak at Anfield with a 1–0 win.[23] On 6 May, he led Palace to a 4–0 win over Manchester United at Selhurst Park to complete their first ever Premier League double over the club.[24][25] On the final day of the season, he led Palace to a 5–0 home win over Aston Villa, the joint biggest Premier League win in Palace's history.[26][27] Palace ended the season with six wins from their last seven games, equalling their highest ever Premier League points tally of 49, having won 4 consecutive home games for the first time and finishing in the top 10 for the second time in the Premier League era.[27][28]

That was what I was remembering. I remember posters asking why we were taking so long to embed a system and how Glasner got his instilled so quickly.

Ah, the above makes sense now

Did that early season form coincide with a massive injury list I wonder?
Don't you remember us going to Selhurst last season and being absolutely terrible, losing 1-0....when we were thinking we were going there playing someone that WAS absolutely terrible?

Not sure about their injury record. I know some Palace fans and they were restless, and it wasn't just the results...it was the type of football they were seeing

lol - I can't even remember last week

Now you recall, I did look it up. Their first win of the season, lifting them out of the relegation zone. Dr Tottenham and all that.

They wanted him gone.....they were terrible up until the new year this season.

Interesting. I thought they did start very slowly this season but i remember that he had their attacking players, most noticeably Mateta, firing within a couple of months that he joined the club. Mateta especially started looking almost like prime Van Nistelrooy...

Interesting. How were they describing their football at the time when this angst was there?
I know a few Palace fans given my location (including my neighbour) and i never got this from them (though that's probably more because i didn't ask...)

Who would you have then?
If Levy wants to sack Ange then fine, as long as it's for someone who is undoubtedly better and going to take the club forward. Frank is uninspiring, people scoff at Ange 'only' winning in lesser leagues - Frank hasn't won anything beyond a play off final, nothing at Brondby in Denmark.

Whereas Ange has won everywhere he's gone including a Europa League title here, so I'd rather give the guy who has won us a trophy an opportunity to build over Frank who has done nothing beyond make Brentford a stable club. Alan Curbishley did that at Charlton for years, I wouldn't have wanted him either....
