Conor Gallagher

His whole family (inc him) are MASSIVE Chelsea fans.

He was born where I grew up as a kid. Played for some of the same kids teams as me (a generation apart). His parents are more my age
Wonder if he’s soured on Chelsea given the way they treated him near the end.

Can’t imagine he has any great personal love for us as a club given his background. Still think he’s a great signing though especially at that price.

If he scores the winning goal at Stamford Bridge, he'll be a legend! Didn't Darren Bent score in the 4-4 at the Emirates back in 2008? He is a huge Arsenal fan

I would say so for sure.

Feeling increasingly good about this. He will bring a lot of energy to the dressing room, and I think we need a fresh impulse/injection.

That's a navy and lillywhite chow-chow, that is!!

Got to love a dog man! If he can play football as well, twice the reason to love him! And if he can improve our injury-record by a smidge on top of that, oh joy!

Good deal this. Very good. I'm running out of boxes to tick. I think he is a very good fit for whatever it is Frank is trying to do (ie, if Frank is trying to impose his Brentfor blueprint on us), and he is a good fit for any potential replacements, short and long term. And if Gallagher is the piece that ignites Franks project and moves us forward, brilliant.

Welcome aboard!

Now on to the next signing! :)

Indeed. He ticks a lot of boxes.

It might not feel he is exactly the priority player we need at the moment...but if the simple fact is that he improves us, and the opportunity is there, you grap it.

*(As long as you haven't now run out of money)

Footballers don't care about that sh1t IMO, yes they are fans of other clubs, but its not a "THING" as some like to make it

Looking forward to see what he can do for us.

In terms of someone being likely to hit the ground running we couldn't have found a more suitable player.

I have concerns about his ability to significantly improve some of our key weaknesses like ball progression and creativity, but he's a very good player.
