I cannot understand how Sunderland would consider selling him, without his goals they would be dead and buried already. West Ham allegedly offered £6m where would Sunderland get a replacement for him for that sort of money? They would need to spend north of £10m and that would be a gamble.

I'm not saying it won't happen, just that the fee will have to be more realistic, the player is at a club who won't want to sell, the buying club are desperate and made it common knowledge in the summer that they have money to throw at a forward. That will surely all be reflected in the price.
