Archie Gray

I hate to say this, but if Romero is out for the season, and De Zerbi wants us to play out from the back, I think we might have to play Archie at CB if only to ensure we have some passing capability in our CBs. Danso is a better box-defender perhaps, but he is not a passer at all, thus we will just be going sideways all the time.
Archie at CB would at least allow us passing from that area, plus he has experience of the role.
We are going to have to get creative.

Side for Brighton???

Kinsky

Porro
Gray
Van De Ven
Udogie

Sarr
Bergvall

Spence
Xavi
Tel

Richy

Richy is not ideal as a lone striker but he offers me than Solanke right now who is bang out of form. Muani is not at it. Gallagher isn't either. Spence would at least offer some speed and presence wide. Xavi has to play. I might consider Palhinha over Bergy to start...

Gray is too conservative but with good reason - romero is ill disciplined and richy tracks back but offers no protection.
sort these two positions our and Gray will be unshackled to create

Would put Spence RB to shackle Mitoma as Porro is pretty naff defensively. Muani is such a strange player, looks to have decent ability but falls over when any contact is made.
Maybe stick Porro on the right of the 3 with Xavi and Tel centre and left as you have it.
Toss of a coin with Rich and Sokanke for CF.
Get the Brighton OMT up and running @thfcsteff

Spence at RB and Porro ahead of him is as good a try as anything. We do have a problem with the striker as none of Richy, Solanke or Muani seem quite right. None is the complete option or even the good enough option. I'm somewhat partial to Minibus a CF as I think his ceiling is higher than the other two but I won't pretend he's been good for us either.

I'd go the other way round. Porro's asset is his deep diagonal crosses. Whereas Spence showed against Dortmund that he can be a genuine driving dribbler from a wing position.

I think which way round is dependent on if we have any intention that the deeper player is going to be doing any under lapping/overlapping.
