Antonio Conte - officially NOT the coach of THFC

Well if Pochettino caught any of the game he might be thinking his chances of returning went up a few more per cent.

I would happily accept him back, just to see better football and a bit of feel-good factor around the ground. 2nd choice would be Thomas Frank, and for me, he could bring Raya, Mee and Toney with him in Summer
You want to see better football then you mention wanting Franck and bringing Toney with him?!

On exactly the same points as then too, I think.

Mind you, we hadn’t the injury list last year that we have now - and Son was still a footballer.

TBF. We didn’t have the options then that we have now either
We have lost some key players but still have plenty more now

So Conte is back and we get fudged over again.
Anyone except Conte still think he is the answer?

He's a purchase manager, not a football manager.

I don't know why people make excuses for him. If we were judging performance, rather than reputation, he would have been gone before the world cup. He's really only still in a job because of memories of Chelsea in 2016-7.

My biggest concern about Conte on Saturday was that he waited until the 75th minute to make an offensive change. It was too little too late.

We are 2 points of 4th place and still in both cl and fa cup.
:)

more games played ... though anything can happen in cup competitions especially with a coach like conte.
quite sure its over for Top 4 but might win FA Cup or even the CL. Stranger things have happened.

Conte is crap in cups. Never won one in Italy. The 2018 FA cup with Chelsea is in fact his only cup win in 17 years of coaching

TBF to the bloke, good and spot on interview about the players needing to be more resilient

Players playing scared and like they are under pressure which sounds bang on, we just seem to go to pot too easily which is frustrating as when its good its good, when its bad it seems to fall in like a pack of cards ala Leicester and Liverpool

That is something that seems to have happened ever since Poch days, the ( some of them) players have lacked a winning mentality when the going gets tough. We can blame the managers ( which is what we do more often then not) but we have been losing games as i say even under Poch and its happening far to often.

Wow. I know from what I’ve seen that Conte is limited on the actual football/tactical front but today’s comments on Dier as a midfield option (whether you think he is or isn’t) are extremely worrying.

This after selecting Tanganga over Emerson at RCB Saturday when it’s arguably the position he’s best suited to and had just come off a stormer the week before.
