More like we didn't want a straight loan with no option and Brighton said fudge it we'll take him on a loan. Same with Kudus, He wanted a CL release clause and we weren't prepared to have one and West Ham didnt give a damn.

That's great if instead we get in alternatives, with long term planning in mind. If not though, we may have fudged up.

Levy said years ago that he wouldn't loan a player if it didn't come with an option to buy. Maybe that was the sticking point with Barca, if so then that's fair enough.
