***Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea***, Premier League, Nov 1st 2025 at White Hart Lane

I will admit that I didn't particularly see the hype when Bissouma played for Brighton; people told me he was GHod and I wanted to believe them.

I will admit that I didn't particularly see the hype when Caiceido played for Brighton; people told me he was GHod and I didn't know what to believe.

I will admit that I didn't particularly see the hype when Enzo Fernandez joined Cheatski, he looked brick to be frank, but now is not.

We have suffered with 18 year olds and 19 year olds and 20 year olds and always hoping they will blossom and we will be good, but Fark me, we were wet paper tonight.

We looked worse after the triple subatition if that's possible.

Don't think Xavi was one of the worst. Not even close. And being hooked off won't do his confidence any good whatsoever.

Thought our best period of the match was just after Romero and Richi came on. Having Muani, Xavi and Kudus across the pitch meant we finally had options to pass to.

Then five mins later made a triple sub and back to no options.

Agreed. Completely bizarre performance.

I don’t blame Xavi one bit. And there was some talk in this thread of the players not actually being that good. I don’t buy it. We have good players. We have players that are easily capable of serving up better than what we just saw.

They are clearly asked to play a certain way. It’s on the coach to sort it out. I’m not saying Frank be good or have good moments with us, but this was really really bad.

Xavi not taking responsibility for the ball as a creative player? I think he can be critiqued for that.

I'm not arguing for getting rid of TF, to be clear. But today was awful and the manager needs to explain why. The first half was awful. Thought we would improve second half but we didn't muster a single shot.
I'm not saying you are, I'm making a statement.

This clubs been the same give or take for the last 10 years, let's roll the dice again and see if those we pine for can polish this tu5d......

The quotes after the Monaco game were very harsh from Vicario. Correct but harsh and unusual for a 0-0 draw. There are signs the players aren’t all in on this.
Didn't all go south after around ten games for Ange in his first season? :D But seriously, for some reason our players and certainly the fans never take to pragmatic managers and that was always my concern with Frank.

I know there are some who argue he got Brentford playing great, well proof is in the pudding and all we do know is the football has been a horrible watch so far and teams sit back against Brentford so it's easier - most don't do that against us and we get shown up. I hope this is all a storm in a teacup because don't want this managerial merry go round all over again, but Frank really does need to sort out our attacking play because whilst we do need some better attackers they are better than what we have been mustering up...

Pathetic…. This manager is a coward.

Dycheball without the aggression.

Must be the worst value season ticket in the PL.

I keep telling myself that Frank deserves time like any manager would, but just from an enjoyment and stylistic point of view, I’m really not looking forward to going to any home games right now regardless of the opposition. Especially 2 games in 5 days! The football is just so poor.

I'm in the minority here, but I'm not that upset, the mistake was the difference, I see plenty to be positive about.

Last season I was angry over how we played pretty much every game because the philosophy was flawed, we're building something here, it's pragmatic, and you need to go through a phase like this.

Doesn’t have to be one or the other. We could be solid and hard to beat AND also look like we have a clue at the other end. 3-0 flattered us last week.

Xavi had finally recieved the ball in the pocket on the edge of the box and dinked a nice little ball to Kudus and then got subbed.
I'm not saying Xavi has been good, miles off where he needs to be but being subbed off as a sub is going to destroy his already low confidence. So poor from Frank.

Every team can be improved upon, but the way we play now is not a squad issue, it's a lack of confidence, lack of attacking structure etc.
Bodo glimt don't have any player that are better, yet they played us off the park for 70 minutes. Why?
Because they are well drilled in their attacking patterns, and have a plan.
agree but I also feel that maybe technically better. Johnson, Xavi are not able to get pass players often. Tel blah. Ode maybe able to pass but final ball not great.
Our top scorer is a defender no? Whilst I believe our attacking plan can be better but who can implement that even with coaching.

We couldn't keep the ball or progress the ball or do anything today. That's not coaching
That's just a lot of them having a mare

Okey dokey folks

My wife's friend has a big party tonight, for Halloweeeeen, involving lots of kids and parents.

It started at 6, but obviously I said Spurs are more important and that I would come along as soon as I thought the game was lost.

Obviously, I feel both disappointed and angry and have had a load of beers.

Obviously, I feel GREAT now. I am sure I will fully add to the party vibes.

At least I only need to walk a mile in the dark to get there.

Obviously, this is fine.
