Moussa Sissoko

You are on another level to where we'll be this season, it will take a good 3 or 4 years of Rafa and solid investment to get to that end of the table but I look from 8th - 9th down (below the Everton, Southampton, West Ham type group) and see very little quality.

I think 12-15th will be us this season without being in danger but we are desperate for a new striker and a goalkeeper, get those and we'll be just fine. Team is well settled and well established and drilled in Rafa's system.

Lascelles is very raw, but mentally very strong and I still hope he develops into a good centre half but the likelihood is he will start the season as 3rd choice centre back and on the bench.

Really like the look of Merino so far, looks like a quality player but suspect he will start on the bench.

The biggest difference though is that we are a team, where the team is greater than the sum of its parts, for the first time in a long time. With everyone in the city pulling together I see no reason why we can't have a comfortable season consolidating and hopefully a Rafa special cup run.
What's up with Tim Krul?

What's your opinion of Ritchie, Greg? Should I put him in my FF team? Would you expect him to play every game, and get assists/goals?

Yes and yes. Very hard working so fits in the Rafa system perfectly and also has an eye for a pass and cross. Is on free kicks and pens as well so yes, good FF player.

He's had loads and loads injuries and just lost the plot basically. Very strange, but basically just lost it. Training with the development squad.

Hasn't been fit for a full season for about 4 years and it has caught up with him.

Shame, good bloke and great 'keeper before his problems.

That's a shame. Always liked him. Was a terrific GK. Hope he gets back to his best, but I guess that's not gonna happen.

Sometimes in life one has to be Krul to be kind. Thank you VERY much two shows nightly...

Very very good keeper IMO

A-ha, so it was Levy who wanted Sissoko

Pochettino on Sissoko's performances for Saudi Sportswashing Machine vs Spurs in 2015/16: "I remember. That’s why Daniel was desperate to sign him!"

I'd be passing that buck pretty quickly given half a chance.

He's terrible. If only PSG could be persuaded otherwise. Very few on here wanted him to sign. Even less want hin to stay now. A monumental fudge up of a signing.

What really bothers me is the person who ok'ed this sighing, maybe still working at the club and frighteningly may still have a say on future acquisitions.

Poch has final say. Its the only negative so far in his reign at Spurs. Big negative too.

As mentioned during the match

He looked OK for the first 15 or so and helped out KWP a lot.

He then switched sides and went back to his non movement/miscontrolling/underhitting pass form

There was a couple of times he looked scared of the ball.

He is not good enough.

Wanyama was a no brainier.

But Jannsen and Sissoko and the two wingers who did and do hardly play, are our only signings?

Can't think of any others?

Do you mean any other signings at all under Poch? (in which case, Davies, Dier, Dele, Toby spring to mind)
Or any other unsuccessful signings under Poch? (in which case Fazio and Stambouli probably fit the bill).

I think it's in response to the criticism about Pochettino's signings. So, the point is made by listing those that were poor additions to the team. Fazio, and Stambouli, were the two that were missed out. Overall I'm happy with Pochettino's signings. Davies, Alderweireld, Alli, and Dier are very good in particular. EDIT: and Son.
